It would be much better if they referred to "memory footage" as simply a footage from our brain's visual and auditory cortices. These two pieces of data are then used to form the "memory" part. But that's not all that forms a memory of course. There's also our thoughts and feelings and got knows what else. This fact was used as a plot device in the last episode where they couldn't find out the whole story from watching Woo-jin's "memory footage" aka the audio-visual data, because it didn't contain his thoughts. However they also completely neglected the fact when the people with chips supposedly had their memories erased/suppressed. It is unclear how human memory works, but it for sure isn't just hours and hours of audio-visual data stored on a biological hard-drive. Going by this logic, erasing this data wouldn't mean erasing everything there is to the memory, something would remain (feelings or some sort of thoughts not accompanied by an image).
Anyhow, that's a big problem with the sci-fi aspect of this drama. Using one thing as a plot device but completely disregarding it in another part of the story.
Making sci-fi is hard, so it's like i'm saying this drama was bad. I just wish it was better worded at the very least.
i'm sad i can't give this drama 9/10. the last minutes were anti-climatic and it completely ruined what…
why don't you like the ending? i'm personally going to pretend it ended after the rooftop scene. that was breath-taking. i think that adding the bit about his death went completely against the narrative they had previously established.
nice article! when i see characters work or study in a drama it gets me motivated in work too, and i totally picture myself being a side character lol
i also gotta confess that watching crime dramas made me more open minded towards the police..
this show started off very good, but after some 20-ish episode it got kinda draggy. 16 episodes would suffice,…
well it depends on what you watch. if you like suspense + law, i highly recommend checking out "Solomon's Perjury" (korean) that has excellent pacing and only 12 1-hour episodes.
from my experience, jpn dramas tend to have less eps and therefore pacing isn't a problem, so i wouldn't say that most dramas get draggy.
I don't understand how y'all didn't find it perfect. It's already the highlight of dramas…
agreed that everyone has different tastes but i'd argue that having a college degree and being immature in relationships are uncorrelated. besides, i thought she was immature in the last few eps only? poor writing, not the fault of the actress.

on the plus side, OST is awesome.
anyways, i'm hoping that one day, kdrama gods will give me a remake of legal high with JCW.
the ending was just perfect. 'love is sacrifice'.
i love how this drama focuses on all of these little stories of the various characters. it feels very.. objective.
the only good thing about this drama is the soundtrack.
