I'm getting cameo fatigue. I like the show but this is the second? cameo in like 2 episodes. I wish this show wasn't on Prime.

Yea no, I didn't watch teasers or trailers cuz I don't think its necessary If Kim Hye Yoon is in a new show I'm gonna watch it. That was all I needed. First episode was great and then it got goofy and it stayed that way. It's cool if thats what you like... but not me.

I also wanted to add because you talked about my expectaions.

I wanted Lovley Runner to be as good, consistent and moving as its first episode was but all the way through. I wanted a story about a girl trying her best to save her idol from suicide and somehow they can fall in love along the way. I didn't want a drama with a useless serial killer who only exists to drive the story. I didn't want unfunny gags that made me wanna pluck my eyeballs out because they were so stupid and a waste of my time. I didn't want a drama where the ML sticks a cardboard cut out in his bed instead of in his closet like a normal person. AND THAT is my problem. The characters make stupid decisions for stupid reasons all the time and nothing is delveloped DEEPLY ENOUGH FOR MEEEEE (keyword ME bby ;) You people keep TELLING ME that this drama has THIS meaning and THAT. I saw the show too hon, and This shows meaning got lost after ep 4 if I'm being generous.

I don't understand why I have to reiterate my perfectly valid issues over and over just because some people don't agree with me.

No amount of yapping is gonna change my mind bb. I watched this show every week for TWO MONTHS. I am entitled to my own feelings about it. Its not like I gave it a 1? a four is a perfectly respectable score for something I didn't like.

I think it's very interesting that many people are getting upset over my opinion when I also took the time to sit down and watch the show. If you read my review I spoke about how I was uncomfortable about the misogyny that I saw in many other POSITIVE reviews. I also focus on way more than just the FL's behavior. I like that you ignore everything I said about the show dropping its heavier topics in favor of being another serial killer rom com. You ignored the obvious erasure of commentary about disabled people's struggles and depression. You ignore everything about the ML's lack of individuality and the way that he's ready to DIE for a woman that he barely knows at almost the half point of the show. You also ignore Kim Taesung's lack of development by saying the FL "helps him in her own way" what way? By telling him off a couple times in their childhood? Thats enough to be considered actively helping? The only person FL is truly invested in is the ML. So yes she is selfless in regards to him.

I layed out most of my issues in detail and you still find a way to misconstrue my statements and try to turn me into another "girl bad" reviewer. I don't see how "illogical and unserious" are NOT valid critiques.

Why do I have to watch the female lead say mean things to the male lead and then immediately get sad about it and have to go outside on the day that she knows something terrible is going to happen to her, instead of just either messaging him over the computer or calling him or waiting until the very next day so that she can apologize in person?

Why do I have to watch a female lead wear a white puffer jacket that we only see her wear twice to an official meeting with an actor that she's supposed to be apologizing to, when she got arrested for wearing the same jacket five seconds ago? Why are the gags so abundant in a drama that got most of us hooked because we thought it was actually going to be something special! We kept watching hoping that it could be as good as that first episode just one more time and it never happened.

Romcoms are FINE, but this drama wasn't a well balanced one.

I do not care what you think this show should be. A 5 means that I'm neutral on a show and Lovely Runner was such a bad experience that I can not give it a neutral score. Its competently shot and edited, that's a point. The performances are okay, that's a point. The soundtrack is fine, that's a point. The beginning of the show genuinely interested me so half a point for that. All of that is not enough for me. You're literally trying to censor and police my opinion.

Relax it's a tv show, your existence does not depend on this forgettable and incompetent show. If you've looked through the comments and replies plenty of people agree with me. We're already the minority and STILL here you are.How come the THOUSANDS of 10 star reviews are allowed to be public but I have to change my opinion because you don't like it. I gave IOTNBO the score I thought it deserves because I thought it failed to do everything it set out to do. In what world would I judge the quality of something overall based on one woman's performance?

All reviews are personal in their own way, because we are human. And we use our limited time on earth to consume this media, it is up to me to decide if MY time was wasted or not. If you can look past LR flaws and enjoy it then that's great for YOU. I can not, and I will not allow you to censor my experience because you liked it… We are different people and I'm allowed to have a different opinion from you.

I gave SGNS a 7 because I genuinely enjoyed it and felt myself totally believing the development between the main couple. It was competently shot , was actually genuinely funny at times , and made me feel a connection to the characters . I will remember their names for years to come . But I will immediately forget the main characters in lovely Runner.

The main couple in strong girl is 10 times better and more compelling than the people in it's okay to not be okay. I gave my justification in THAT review. Nam Soon and Gang Hee Sik are total strangers who end up IN LOVE. The progression of that was ENJOYABLE for ME. I was smiling and kicking my feetsies watching them. I need for a couple to have a strong connection and to understand both characters in order to be able to justify my belief in their Romance. I want to fall in love with the characters myself by the time they get together. Lovely Runner makes me feel actual frustration, anger and an incredible amount of disappointment every single time I watch an episode. I'm basing my ratings on my own personal enjoyment of a series and my ability to think critically while watching something. If I feel like it doesn't adhere to what I feel is logical then it deserves a lower rating in my book. If you don't agree with that that's fine. I don't need you to come here and say that I am misleading people simply because I don't think this show is a 10,9, or 8 out of 10. There are literally thousands of reviews that are the exact opposite of mine. Yet those are not misleading people? Why? Because they are enjoying the show? So because I am not my experience and my review is not valid? Very interesting.


Give me your justifications for not liking Strong girl? Would all of your problems with the show be mitigated if they had just changed Byeon Woo Seok to the lead and spent the whole show doing nothing, while hitting empty plot beats?

lol jk but everything you've said is so valid! I think middle school me would have liked this show as is... I wish I could like it but I just can't... I think it would break my mind if he didn't even commit suicide in the original timeline.... but I have a feeling....

I feel like its kind of hard to not take it seriously when it starts off with a suicide... It definitely wants to be taken seriously. It just fails really badly...

No she wasn't... She needed money fast and he offered to give her the money in exchange for a fake marriage... He had nothing to do with her circumstances and had proposed the same agreement to mutiple women before her. He made it clear about his boundaries and preferences multiple times.

Okay so it looks like you did not watch the show. Grow up. Have you never watched "Peach Girl"? If the "second" ML ends up with the FL then he was meant to be with her. Its alternitive story telling... We need more of it. If you think that women should tolerate emotional abuse because of the "promise" of something more with a guy then...😕 ALSO the FL does not stick with the ML of this show if you had watched the show or read my review you'd know she spends a good amount of time trying to get him out of her life....
