You're so right! I was initially interested in watching this solely b/c of the Sakong/Natasha couple but the way they've completely crapped on their 'relationship' is beyond ridiculous!
What a waste of a potentially interesting storyline :l
One of the most brutal dramas I've ever watched! Everything from the cinematography to the wardrobe to the set design to the writing to the {PERFECT} casting/acting were on point!
I originally started watching this for Lee Jae Yoon but dear lord I'm glad I stuck around for the ride! Jung Kyung Ho was superb and now I understand why everyone was praising him. He reminded me of a younger Jung Woo Sung -one of my favorite actors- with his intensity, and impressed me even when he was silent and stone-faced.
And for those upset by the ending: what in the 19 episodes that preceded it lead you to believe the ending was going to be anything but bleak? I personally loved that the tone stayed consistent throughout and that no one was safe. There was no way Min Hong Ki was walking away alive after he perpetrated so many crimes! That man was pure evil!

But that's one of my problems, at the moment. They know he's a genius but instead of trying to guide him (the only exceptions being Yoon Seo, Nurse Nam, Nurse Jo, and Dr. Han) they just spit spite at him and hope it sticks enough for him to somehow come through. If Do Han took two seconds to act like a mentor and not a spoiled child upset his father -Woo Suk in this example- is paying more attention to his younger brother instead of him, the workplace would be better for it. And I don't mean baby him or hold his hand. I do agree with you that they need each other though.

I'm the same way! I get that there has to be adversity for Shi On to ultimately triumph, but the way he's treated at times is flat out cruel! Especially when those two doctors pulled him into the bathroom like common bullies in epi 3. I also agree Do Han keeps snatching Shi On's well deserved glory for his own.
Does anyone know the name of the song or the singer of the song that plays during Yoon Seo's flashback in episode 3? Is it one of the OST tracks? It's gorgeous!
I absolutely LOVED it!!! Such a fascinating mix of laugh out loud comedy, dark reality, & spurts of action. The chemistry between Eita & Matsuda Ryuhei was perfection! I couldn't have asked for more! Easy 10 out of 10.

Was anyone else annoyed with Hyunsu's personality change in epi. 19? He went from a sweet, supportive, & pitiable leading man to a complete self-serving asshole! I guess he redeemed himself a little by turning Monghee's info in but it doesn't make up for the episode & a half he was a jerk for no reason!
And Hyuntae's mistress bringing pesticide to their break-up >>>>>
I love Hyuntae, but he's so naive to think that psycho actually loves him!
Just finished episode 17: FINALLY some story progression has surfaced concerning the Jungs!
My one gripe though: I don't understand the point of Monggyu. So far he's operated solely as a dumping ground for his parent's aggression. BUT I'm soooooo happy not only has the twin angle been confirmed {there's a difference between what the viewer knows as truth and what the characters know} but now a member of the Jung family is aware of Monghee's plot with Hyunsu!
Oh, and Hyuntae getting teary-eyed about his mom leaving = me getting teary-eyed! Park Seo Joon has come so far since "Dream High 2". I'm proud of him :D
I find myself not caring about Monghee & Monghyun's family at all. I usually skip their scenes; checking in periodically to see if there's been any developments (there hasn't _-) before I get back into the other story lines. I hope they improve them soon.
The rest of the characters & stories are awesome! Hyuntae & Monghyun are too cute for words, and Lee Tae Sung as Hyunjoon is delivering big time!
I watched it about a year ago and it's still with me! Such a beautiful, haunting, & bittersweet drama that doesn't hold your hand & offer a happy ending. Don't hesitate to watch this one!
Would have been a 10 (I gave it a 9) if it was about 2 episodes shorter. The acting, story, & intrigue are all top notch but the pacing in the later episodes kills some of the momentum. Shin Ha Kyun is at the top of his game though! Seriously one of the best actors working today!
I'm late to this but I HIGHLY recommend "White Christmas" and "Chilling Romance"! Not so much for the 'horror' aspect {"Chilling Romance" has its moments} but both are excellent. Trust me :}
