I've officially fallen in love with him thanks to Scent Of A Woman! Fantastic actor, and sexy as hell as a bonus!!! I'm watching Wild Romance & Partner simultaneously, with plans to watch Fugitive Of Joseon & Bittersweet Life once I wrap everything else! Thank the K-drama gods for summer lol.
This show has two major things going for it so far: 1) the casting - everyone fits into their roles perfectly. Especially the Park men! They actually look like a father and his 3 sons! and 2) the impeccable chemistry between Han Ji Hye & Yeon Jung Hoon! So far so good :)
This might be my fave of the 'Flower Boy' trilogy (with 'Shut Up...Band' a very close 2nd). I need Kim Seul Gi & Go Kyung Pyo work together again! Those two goofs had me dying on the floor by the end.
I liked it, but I was just a bit confused about one thing:
If their powers kept them young, what exactly was the story with 'Deacon' Byeon then? Was he a reincarnated version of the guy who abused them? Or was he the same man who was somehow spared a fiery death and suffered the same curse along with the kids?
And also, it's inferred past Byeon was a cannibal (or they tell you idk), so if that was red shirt father in the refrigerator, had the kids been eating people or did Byeon get to the father first??
Baseball Cap man is either the devil or Jesus. I say the devil since he's spouting 'Book of Revelations' type stuff in the cab at the beginning and for his rape of Soon Young. I say Jesus really only for the scene where he essentially absolves Bike man of his sins.
So Soon Young is due to give birth to the Anti-Christ (maybe?) after she's impregnated by the devil(?), after the rapture/during the Apocalypse. Honestly, I have no idea.
The movie was brilliant at giving you just enough to form your own opinions and effectively write your own conclusion. Had they revealed anymore story or shown more than the one glimpse of the creature it would have felt like too much. Fantastic film.
I saw 30 eps and right now I have the feeling some things are dragging a lot and keep repeating itself over and…
I feel your pain 100%! Woo Jae (without any spoilers) is particularly frustrating! The start was really strong but it's beginning to edge closer to that 'wall' a lot of dramas hit midway. It feels like they had enough story for 30 episodes that they're being forced to stretch to 50. I'm only continuing to watch for Park Hae Jin's story line & to see how they try & explain Seoyoung's BS once things hit the fan.
