I agree, the screenwriter should have made them allies much sooner, that way the chances of romance would be higher than it is now. But nonetheless, he did a pretty good job by making them allies in episode 11, cause if he had delayed longer, I'd have given this drama a rating below 8.

I agree, I witnessed one of the best acting in kdramas history from nam joo. She really nailed it in this drama. The way she killed seol hyun's father when he refused to apologize is breathtaking!! And what's more breathtaking is when the sewing machine's needle was prickling her hand, but she couldn't feel any pain, my heart ached for her at that moment. She almost lost the will to live, but it's a good thing she met an inmate who helped her during her imprisonment.

Episode 11 is making me hopeful, for a slim chance of romance of course. Even if it won't be having romance, I want to see the downfall of three people, and those people are; Kim joon, soo ho, and yoo ri. This drama is playing out the way we wanted it to unfold.
The only infuriating thing is the indecisiveness of soo hyun on her failed marriage. Where's the decisive soo hyun who didn't hesitate to take law into her hands, when her son was deprived of justice?

I think it's not that she's forgetting herself, she just doesn't want to face the reality of what her marriage has become. I'm hopeful for a divorce soon. It's what she should and must do.
And it's a good thing you've started watching this wonderful drama after the long wait pal.
Now, we only have one week wait left. I'll also be watching episode 12 soon, cause I loved the way episode 11 unfolded!!!

Why is soo hyun not filling for a divorce after all that's happened? And what's with behavior of her mother-in-law? Is she perhaps being nice, so soo hyun would forgive her son?

Seol hyun is still pursuing his revenge plans, but he's no longer revenging on soo hyun, he's getting his revenge on the real villain "kim joon"!!! Finally we are watching what we've been hoping for, for weeks!!!

I just completed episode 11, and wow, episode 11 didn't disappoint!! Episode 11 is wonderful!!
Seol hyun finally let go of his hate towards soo hyun, he's finally decided to bury the past. Our first leads are no longer enemies but instead they've become friends and allies.
Soo hyun is helping seol hyun investigate the case of his mother, and when digging for facts, she found out that what happened to his mother was not an accident, but it's orchestrated by the villain "kim joon".

Furthermore, seol hyun has shifted his rage, hate, and revenge to the real villain, and finally we are now watching a revenge drama!!! I waited for this moment for weeks, and it's finally here!!!
But I've to say, kim joon is a very cunning man, despite being the one who ordered the death of seol hyun's mother, he pretended to be a saint. He was even the one who moved seol hyun's mother to the VIP ward, can you believe that?
The only thing that's yet to happen is the divorce of our indecisive FL. I don't know what is going on in her head!

Yes, if you do the math, you'll realize cdramas that are 40 episodes are barely over 20 episodes of kdramas episode duration!!

Xing zhi is really going all out to keep shen li beside him, I can't believe he actually imprisoned her in the extra natural heaven to prevent her from returning to the immortal realm!! And shen li can't break the barrier even if she wants to. She tried breaking it once, and at that moment she realized that breaking the barrier with force would make xing zhi suffer a backlash of his power. So, she can't break it, all she can do is to stay there.
I admire xing zhi's tenacity!!!

I'd really like to see them as allies, and healing friends in this week's episode. And I hope episode 11&12 is not going to further disappoint us watchers, cause episode 10 ended with so much hope!!

As if soo hyun's indecisiveness was not enough, did he also had to include seol hyun's revenge?I'm really hoping for a miracle romance, even if the chances are only 0.5!Kdramas episodes are indeed more bearable because of the shorter episodes. But if you do the math of cdramas, you'll also find out they're not that long cause kdramas are mostly more than 60 mins while cdramas are mostly not up to 50 mins. So it's reasonable for cdramas to have longer episodes than kdramas cause the episode duration differs.Soo hyun's character not progressing is the most annoying part of it all. And I'll low this drama's ratings if she decides not to divorce her trashy husband.

I started watching this drama few days back, and I'm already on episode 6. This drama has been wonderful thus far!!

I agree, once he learns of the identity of the real culprit, he needs to change his opinion of soo hyun, and stop his revenge plans.
He has to let go of his hate, and resentments in order to catch the mastermind. If he continues his revenge regardless, then he'd be destroying both soo hyun and himself, leaving the real mastermind to roam freely, and soar higher...

I'm keeping the 9.5 ratings for now, cause I don't know how episode 11&12 will unfold, and most especially episode 13&14. I need to see this week's episode to decide whether I'll be lowering the ratings or not. If they turn out to be friends and allies I'll definitely keep it at 9.5 or 9. But I'll definitely low this drama's ratings if soo hyun doesn't divorce soo up till the finale. Her divorce and the two leads becoming allies is what I most want to see at the moment!!

As for the development of their relationship romantically, that's just a hope I haven't given up on. And yes, 4 episodes is too little for a romantic relationship, but who knows, the screenwriter is full of surprises, so he might twist the story into a romantic one. And even though their relationship might not develop romantically, I'll still retain the 9 as long as they become allies and soo hyun divorce her trashy husband.

Seol hyun rushed soo hyun's mother to the hospital because of his kind heart, and not because of his plans for revenge. After soo hyun's mother was admitted, he called soo hyun to inform her of her mother's condition, so soo hyun rushed over. When soo hyun got there, seol hyun hid himself, so as not to be seen by her. And after learning that her mother's condition was stable, he left. So, it's because he's kindhearted, and more importantly because he doesn't like seeing people die.

I agree, no matter how wonderful the premiere of a drama might be, the end is what makes a drama. The premiere and end of a drama are intertwined, both have to be wonderful for a drama to be called a "masterpiece"!!
Chinese dramas are mostly over 30 episodes, and there aren't many cdramas that are below 30 episodes. I'm already used to cdramas having longer episodes than kdramas. And as long as a drama is a masterpiece and interesting, it doesn't matter even if the episodes are more than 40, I'll watch regardless!!!

Wonderful world screenwriter is doing a pretty bad job by playing with our emotions. And what I hate most about is writing is the indecisiveness of soo hyun, and the revenge of seol hyun against soo hyun.
