Well, I don't know what you consider as cheating, I'm not sure. If you're to ask me, that's not cheating. Besides, is holding hands a crime? Or is hugging, one too? Qing Yu and Bei Shuang have never slept together. At least, not that I know of. FL is very decent, even when she's on the brink of death, she chose to soak herself in deep water instead of sleeping with ML. That alone shows how decent and reserved she is. SML was able to threaten Youjia because she's stupid, there's nothing in her head, all she thinks about all day is how to please Na Zhan. Furthermore, SML disguised as a chef from her tribe. Now, do you want Na Zhan to keep tabs on a mere chef too? If he actually does that, then he's no lord, just a jobless person.

And the plot never said Bei Shuang and Youjia are his favorites, that wasn't made clear. The fact that he sends them gifts, visits them often, doesn't make them his favourite. Na Zhan is ever changing, he's a narcissist, so I don't think someone like him has a woman he favors. To him, they are just his properties.

Me too. I loved their chemistry in TPR. I hope this one turns out to be great. My most anticipated dramas that has aired turned out to be a big disappointment. So, I really hope this one doesn't.

When Bei Shuang was able to answer and even interpret all she read, at that moment, he knew she's a diamond among the many stones in his possession. So he won't kill her, he has to bear with her. At least, up until he achieves his big plan of unifying the desert. And to achieve that, he needs someone who understands the scrolls. Unfortunately for him, only Bei Shuang does.

Some are just watching without understanding the drama. Besides, with that many concubines, who cares if one of them is having a fling or not? In Bei Shuang's case, he can't get rid of her because she's the only one in Yunpei who understands the desert scrolls. He has officials in their hundreds, but none understand what it actually entails, only Bei Shuang does. It'd be a stupid move on his part to kill her because she refuses consummation. Ah, I almost forgot, Rong Huo does understand the scrolls, but he'd gladly choose death over the explanation of the scrolls. So, that leaves our overly smart FL. Hence, she's too useful to be killed.

Where FL resides is where the former lord of Yunpei lived. Also, before she came to Yunpei, the place was locked, it's unguarded. That's exactly why FL chose that place cuz she'd be free. It's very secluded. I think it's your misinterpretation. The current lord of Yunpei hates visiting that place because that's where his father died, plus he's the one who threw the final punch that lead to his death. If it weren't for FL, he wouldn't even think about visiting.

About FL and ML holding hands in the public. Yes, it's a bit extreme, but it's still logical. After all, the lord has got countless concubines, and Bei Shuang just happens to be one of the many, so don't expect him to put her on surveillance 24/7. When Qing Yu took a bath at her residence, they're almost caught, and that almost resulted in the death of ML(drowning). And it's not the budget issue, if you watch closely, you'll see the fortress is guarded well as is. The only place with little security is where FL resides.

"Drama evaluation". Fans don't evaluate dramas anymore, they like it as long as the leads are their idols. As someone who has been watching kdramas for over a decade, I know a disappointment when I see one. Also, I say how I truly feel about a drama regardless of the leads. And I believe that's how it should be. It's the norm nowadays to hype dramas, but I won't be part of that.

Agreed. It deserves at least 8.3 here. It's a pity that unreasonable critisms and ratings are downgrading such a good show. I've watched many cdramas, but this one is one of those that stands out.

I loved Jung So Min in Alchemy of Souls. Jung Hae In in One Spring Night and Snowdrops. Those dramas were excellent. At least, in my opinion.

Yeah,it seems the great number of fans saved the show's rating. Again, I'm not someone that goes with the flow.

I know, right? MDL ratings are weird sometimes. A drama that deserves to be rated highly gets lower ratings, while a drama that's undeserving gets higher rating. I no longer judge a drama with its rating.

I'm not blind to a drama's flaws just because I love the leads. I don't do that. I think, people are beginning to agree with me on what I wrote in the review.

Much thanks. Yes, I also think this is my longest review so far. I didn't include No Gain, No Love in my review about this one cuz I didn't want to compare. But seeing you mention it, I'll be honest. Compared to No Gain, No Love, this one doesn't come close. Many won't agree, but it's the plain truth. No Gain, No Love is the perfect description of how a Rom-Com should be, but this one? Yup! His facial expressions are spot on. I loved him in both dramas. But here? I wish he didn't choose this one. You just said what I wanted to call it, "bipolar mood."

I mean, if a drama is Rom-Com, then let it stay as one. If it's a melodrama, then why was it promoted as a Rom-Com. I don't get it. Yes, I've watched many Rom-Coms and they were not like this. It came to a point when I couldn't figure out whether LND is a Rom-Com, melodrama, or family drama.

I also wanted to drop it cause the story seemed unengaging, but decided to continue, hoping to see some fireworks. However, my hopes were crushed cruelly. I'm glad we agree on many things. Jung Hae In picked a wrong script this time. I hope he choose a better script for his future projects.
