You're right. I think that's the best explanation for giving us sad endings. You're also right when you said "humans tend to remember more hardships than happy moments." Well, in my opinion, I tend to remember a drama that has great premise, plus happy endings more than I do those with sad endings. That's why I remember Love and Redemption, Alchemy of Souls, SOKP, etc.
Indeed, "great minds think alike." That's what I've been echoing too. With all the pain and sufferings in this world, what can make up for it a little, even if it's a little, is for dramas to have happy endings. But, this saddist crews won't also let us have that? I really don't understand. What do they get from making watchers sad over sad endings? Are they trying to tell us that in this world, there are only separations, no reunion? I was utterly disappointed at the extra episode of MLCB, that's the main reason I couldn't give it a perfect score.
Hahaha…I keep checking in this page to see whether have I missed anything. Time is indeed slow when we are observing…
Yes, it's because we love this. I keep checking Netflix in hopes that they might just make the mistake of releasing the episodes sooner just like Prime Video did with Marry My Husband. Hahahaha

I really can't wait to watch this, I think I'm captivated. There's less than 24 hours left, but it's like a week. The last kdrama that made me feel this way was AOS.
In this world, people have different opinions and point of views, so it's not so strange that there are people who hate open ending and happy ending. Take Mysterious Lotus Casebook for example, the ending was better off that way, but iQIYI just had to release an extra, but that extra was sadder.
Although its slow burn, both ML and FL chemistry is undeniably electrifying. This is one of my best dramas of…
Different point of view I guess. That's my take on this drama, you might have a different opinion, that's understandable. But In my opinion, this is the best slow burn romance I've watched in so long.
"He can't stand happy endings"? Is he kidding? What? Are directors that stupid to take into consideration such pessimistic opinions? At least, give us a bonus episode, that's all we ever asked for, but they couldn't do it. If the ending wasn't what it was, this would have had a rating close to 9.0 here.
I don't think so. Alchemy of Souls Season 1 has almost 50k comments, plus its worldwide success. Well, let's see how this one goes. After all, new records can always be set.
I still don't get why cdramas sometimes gives watchers what they refer to as an open ending? What? Do they think we'd appreciate such OE? Of course not. Such ending is not acceptable, at least for me. They did the same thing in Snowfall, even worse. I don't know why some directors do this. Shouldn't they ask us what we want before giving us what they deem as a true work of art? I also think that they should have ended it where LSS was pursuing TTJ, that would have been a perfect ending. Even I would have given it a perfect score without hesitating.
Thanks a lot for the link. I have been searching for this video for more than a year, but couldn't find it. Even though I watched it now, I still don't agree with such a ending.
