"Theme of FL empowerment"? I don't think so. I'd bet it's because they think people tend to remember dramas with heartbreaking endings more than the ones with happy endings.

Exactly, these screenwriters and directors thinks they know what the audience thinks and want. But the reality is, they don't. It could have had a happy ending, but they just had to twist it into a sad one.
Nice review. Indeed, sad endings are not the best. However, in my opinion, I think they reflect reality. In Duanwu's case, YZJ's death was unnecessary if you're to ask me. It doesn't add to the story. Plus, their romance is not what I'd refer to as the best cuz it's kinda toxic. Loved your review though, it's beautifully written.
Although its slow burn, both ML and FL chemistry is undeniably electrifying. This is one of my best dramas of…
I'm really glad another person agrees with me, this drama resonated with me so, so much!
Melancholia, Our Blooming Youth, Chicago Typewriter. The listed dramas have some really matured love which I can't help but be impressed each time I think about them. I'd recommend you to watch melancholia first, it's so damn emotional and interesting. Let me know if you've watched the ones I recommended so I can recommend some other ones. I have a full pack of rec to give you.
I get where you're coming from, that's precisely why I poured my emotions into writing the review for this one.…
Aww, so was it a game changer for me. That's the first ongoing online kdrama I watched. Previously, I usually binge kdramas when they've completed airing, but this one had me on my toes. It's damn interesting. Even Netflix acknowledge its superiority back then cuz it went all the way to the top trending dramas both domestically and internationally. AOS is a drama among thousands πππ Loved it!
I'll add Vagabond and Mr Sunshine to my ptw list, plan on watching this winter

Aww, thank youπ You've added all that I couldn't add to my review. Yes, regret is very tormenting, and it all comes down to "what if, if only, if I had not, if I had." I know its torment cause I've been through it. Huo Zhan Bai and Xue Zi Ye's relationship could have had a better ending if they put their happiness first, if only they didn't care too much about the world, then it could have been a happy ending. I had to use my tissues during the last few episodesπ Snowy Night Timeless Love is an emotionally beautifully drama, it has its happy moments, and so the sad ones
Yeah, I saw your profile. Indeed, I must say, "you've got excellent taste," Alchemy of Souls 1&2 is also my top 1 favourite drama of all time. Moon Lovers is among one of my favorite political kdramas. In Moon Lovers, ML and FL had a very tragic love story. They loved each other but couldn't be together. In the end, they got separated forever. It's so heartbreaking π These kind of dramas are what I call "tragic but beautiful masterpiece." You mentioned Mr Sunshine and Vagabond, are they interesting dramas? If they are, I'll take your words for it and add them to my watchlist.

I get where you're coming from, that's precisely why I poured my emotions into writing the review for this one. Indeed, a beautiful but emotionally scripted dramaππ I also share the same feeling as you do. When I completed I'm this one, only a question was running through my mind and it's just one word, "why?" It's beautiful but heartbreaking. It's so sad to see what could have been a happily ever after relationship end tragically. But then again, not every love get to have a happy ending. I saw you gave this one a perfect score, that shows you enjoyed it more than I did. So glad my recommendation could help. Looking forward to the next drama that's going to make us teary eyed.
Finally, ive finished and now i can read your review- ive been looking forwards to it!!!ββ ββ ββ ββ ββ ββ ββ ββ ββ ββ ββ Kang…
Aww, thanks for your kind words, friend. I couldn't reply earlier cuz I was busy with some stuffs. Just opening MDL, and seeing your comment. Yes, indeed, the first main reason I gave this drama a high rating of 9/10 is because of Park Shin Hye's excellent performance.
Exactly, I didn't find those scenes where she's punishing the murderers and making them feel the torment inflicted on their victims. Yes, that's just how it is, a murderer would ask for mercy and leniency when been made to go through the same pain his/her victims went through, but has forgotten the fact that once upon a time, his victim was also in the same situation, begging for mercy and leniency. I loved the law of Justitia so, so much, Tit for Tat is the best law to use against murderers!
I didn't expect Shin Hye's performance to be this awesome, but it actually exceeded expectations. A massive applause to her ππ
Again, thanks for carefully reading and analyzing my points. It means a lot to share our views, even though our ratings for this one differs!

My first drama of Lu Si was "The Romance of Tiger and Rose." She's amazing in that one, she slayed her role. Plus, her chemistry with Ding Yuxi was undeniable! She's really a great actress, there's no doubt about it!

I have seen worse actually, but it's a Kdrama. It's my first time of seeing a cdrama get so much hate, and to top it all, an historical drama? Never seen one, or maybe there is, just that I haven't come across one yet. I just hope the negativity of TPR doesn't sway potential watchers!
One of my fav scenes, Li Rong would also protect her husband because she loves him. Some people express their…
Yes. Plus, that scene where she ordered her guard to push PWX into the water, that scene was really annoying. But then again, I knew she's just doing it out of spite. Their relationship didn't start well, but it's good to see a happy ending. You know what they say, "at the end of a tunnel, there's light."
I really don't know what's going on in the head of some screenwriters and directors. I really don't know why they twist the ending of dramas.
