This too infuriated me but I excused it because it's a drama and they're trying to drive the plot. Irl, nobody would permit this after the first or second meet.

Junkyung being a 'wimp', as you put it, is the point of the drama. For someone that had been alone that long, it was easier to run away than try to fix things. That's the thing with loneliness

It was such an amazing drama and I'm not sure why the ratings are so low. Is it because it's a slow paced, slice…
"Sometimes death can be a starting point too, not just an end." Very well said.
Some people might have issues with how quickly the father moved on after his wife's death. But you could clearly see that it wasn't easy for him. Him liking Jayeong did not automatically erase his love for wife or his grief either. Also, we have no control over who we like and when we like them. In the early stages of their relationship, you could see his conflict with guilt and wanting to be happy. I like that it was depicted very well.

Title Love Me Spoiler
Another phenomenal drama Acting was superb from all involved and the ending was so well written. Felt natural…
Oh I was so sad for Daniel. I was worried how the rest of his childhood would be. I see him returning to SK when he's 20 to study and live with his dad and Junkyung. His mother was selfish and horrible and she doesn't realise it but she might have permanently hurt her child.

There was very little character development for Junseo. He didn't and still doesn't deserve Hyeon. I see this cycle repeating itself in their relationship and she being the one holding it together.
My qualms with Junkyung was how easily she hid or wanted to run away at the hint of trouble. I was annoyed by just how easily she was giving up on her relationship and always wanting Dohyun to do the pulling. This is me projecting because I found myself asking if this is what it looks like to an outsider looking in on my choices in a relationship.
This drama made me reflect on a lot of things as a person and as a lover.

Title Love Me
Honourable mention to Father Changsik.
This drama might not be everybody's cup of tea. I started it with little expectations, it was even slow for my liking. But as it went on, it resonated with me in a way I didn't expect. I like the earlier episodes better than the second half. It discussed loneliness, grief, love, despair in a way that was relatable.
The takeaway for me, is to be more empathetic of not just my own pain and struggles, but others' too. At the same time, it is okay to be selfish. Family is not just your immediate family members or blood relatives, there's also found family and there's enough room for everybody in your heart.
I especially liked the way in which loneliness was portrayed. That monologue 30mins into ep1 is forever imprinted on me.

ML acting here is akin to confused fish.FL is doing all the lifting, but the plot is kinda meh.
This is so accurate. I do think the first two episodes just set the scene for the rest of the drama. I'll give it ep3 and 4 before I judge. I'm anticipating the chaos I can see coming😁

And what makes it a flop when these are not the final ratings, the drama hasn’t even been out for more than…
I like the word you chose — meanders. The writing got me so frustrated, it was not making headway between the leads. As if they intentionally dragged the drama with unnecessary issues for the 12ep mark. The leads could've gotten together much earlier imo. Let's not even talk about how they decided to then explain the FL backstory in the very last episode!!

I’m currently watching the first episode and I don’t get why the FL got so angry and flipped off the Japanese…
As far as FL is concerned, this woman (Eiko) happened during her relationship with the man. FL had no idea of Eiko's existence but she (Eiko) knew of her (Muhee) and her relationship with the man. Just before the end of the scene, Eiko even goes on to explain, in Japanese, that she was aware and that Muhee is the side chick, as you put it, but Hojin the interpreter doesn't translate this to Muhee. Muhee has an inkling there might be a dodgy situation but like every other time going forward, deliberately chooses to not hear it or face it. She saves face (dignity) thanks to Hojin claiming they're a couple. It is a normal response, I'd say, that Muhee got upset. She's just been ā€˜played’ by the man.
In the end, the man is definitely the problem not these women for creating such a situation

On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 17, 2026
I just started ep 11. I came to drop my thoughts before I forget them.
This drama started well until about ep 4 when things went to shit. Can this love be translated? Apparently, the answer is NO! I absolutely hate when misunderstandings and poor communication drive a plot as was the case in this drama. The main leads kept going one step forward and three steps backwards, and they speak the same language! Talking in cryptic words, the story just dragged. The presence of Do Rami I thought would give some clarity to Cha Muhee only annoyed me further by it's implication, which is that Muhee is a child who runs away from her problems after emotional dumping. I felt sympathetic for Joo Hojin at some point having to deal with all the emotional complexities of Muhee.
Watching Muhee and Hiro struggle to have a decent conversation when the interpreter was absent was so frustrating, almost as if they forgot about the existence of a translation app (the very same Papago that was used in ep 1). Asides their inability to communicate, I found Hiro to be increasingly unlikeable as the drama went on esp after his first passive aggressive stunt on set. As the story went on, I was left wondering about the feelings of Hiro towards Muhee — he doesn't like her or does he? Their chemistry was lacklustre and I don't think it was due to the language barrier. His character wasn't written well. If it was supposed to be a love triangle, it didn't come through as such not even one bit cos at no point was I left rooting for Hiro and Muhee not even a platonic friendship. The pacing felt so slow at times I wished this was 9/10eps.

The lawyer's wife is the true psychopath, like you said, and I bet she would have killed for an even more trivial reason than 'he was rude to us'. Normal people don't commit murder when someone was rude to them or damaged their reputation (in this case, mildly) and her husband enabled her to the very end.

When Baek was admitting his sloppy investigation to the grandfather Ko, I was screaming that he's telling this to the wrong person. His pride and bullheaded-ness (almost) cost a woman her freedom (for life) and he didn't even apologise to her or offer accountability.

I think that is the whole point of the drama —keeping the villains until the end. Being unable to guess correctly seemingly because they do not have any apparent motives for the murders
