Riveting Yet Delicious Revenge Story

I have to say this series does live up to its hype. It's one of those drama's that keep you engaged and tense all throughout the series. So-Hee did an amazing job with her acting as Ji-Woo. She played her character with so much depth, vulnerability but yet also this unwavering fearlessness to seek after her father's killer. It was tough at times to watch Ji-Woo be abused, bullied and treated wrongly by almost all the people in this story but it paid off to see her come through at the end still standing. It also showed glimmers of hope and goodness in humanity with her father, Pil-Do and even Mu-Jin himself, providing care to her. I like how the story is complex and you feel these difficult choices that So-Hee has to make in regards to both sides she playing for.

I have some nitpicks and gripes though with the story such as who is Ji-Woo's mom and how come she never told her her dad is an undercover cop? Could've saved a lot of hassle and misunderstanding. Secondly, how come no cops recognizes Dong Hoon... It makes no sense. Thirdly, how did no one from her narcotic unit see So-Hee's giant Dongcheon tattoo on her chest when she was unconscious at the hospital the first time???!! Lastly, the battle was amazing but the amount of slashes and stabs they endured, they'd both be blooding to death on the floor instantly but I'll let it slide.

Overall, if you're looking for a John Wick type of revenge story, then I recommend this drama. The cast and characters were amazing and interesting. You feel for all of them in some sense. The fighting choreography is great and Ji-Woo comes across believable and not as some unbeatable Mary Sue type of character. Lastly the ending pays off and it's satisfying. Anyways give this one a go. Cheers!

Not As Good As The First Season

I really enjoyed season 1 and I was looking forward to season 2 and the further development of our counters. Unfortunately, season 2 didn't land that and it felt like some filler season where there was no stakes at all. Characters you thought would die always come back alive, the new counter is absolutely annoying and useless and on top of that Ha Nee and Su Min relationship never progresses further. I know it's not part of the original webtoon story but Ha Nee and Su Min potential love story was hinted here and there in the first season and I was looking forward to maybe seeing them go somewhere this season. It had some good visual effects and the fight scenes were cool at times but if I had to recommend this as a watch, I'd probably advise otherwise. I agree with other reviewers that this season felt empty and just a money grab. Overall, just enjoy season 1 and go watch another K Drama series instead.

Soo much potential but a total car wreck...

Man, where do I begin...

A man who inherits a family tradition, that grants him superhero abilities by carrying money. I thought the premise of the story was really interesting and could've made this superhero genre that's already losing popularity and is at its tail end actual life. However, that's not the case. The story had very high ambitions but the writers and director did a poor job executing it. It felt like it was trying to fit in every superhero subplot you could think of but failed to follow through and at the end didn't know what it wanted to be. Also the villains seem one dimensional and there's no backstory on why they're evil, they're just evil. The protagonist and supporting cast seem stale and there's no depth to them. There's also so many questions I have then answers. If he saved the bus and everyone saw his face on footage, how come no one recognizes him at work, his mom or in general?! How is there no paparazzi or media following him around??? Why is it that in some cases when he does use physical activity that he doesn't lose money but in other cases he does? How is it the Mundane Vanguard is four steps ahead but at the same time the most incompetent company to shut down the Super Human Korean Society??? There were soo many moments Kang and his allies could've lost their life but plot armor saved him. This whole show fell apart story wise and felt like an ambitious car wreck. Like I said if the story had been properly written, directed, paced out and had actual high stakes with Kang and his powers, the series could've been another major hit for Netflix like "Squid Game" but sadly not. If you want a really good Korean superhero show, avoid this one and go watch "Moving". It actually has depth and is greatly executed.

Best drama to end off in 2025!

I'm not into historical dramas first off but since Kim Se Jeong was in it, I was going to give it a try. First off, a stellar cast with veteran actors that you've seen in critically acclaimed series. Secondly, the chemistry especially between Park Dal and the Royal highness was electric. Se Jeong once again charmed us off of our feet with her comedic timing and charisma. Lastly, the story was interesting and kept me on my toes. I liked how they mixed in tragedy with comedy and kept a nice balance. If you're unsure, take my word and please give this drama a try. You won't regret it.
