So the solution they found to make an A-list Korean Actress ugly was to put a big-ass glass on her face? Hard…
The glasses are the least of her problems, I feel like the acne and dark and red skin are the main problem. I'm not saying having bad skin necessarily makes you ugly but in Korea it's surprising how much relevance they give to that aspect of beauty... I've asked plenty of Korean male friends what are their deal breakers in a girl's appearance and bad skin is a very common answer.
I thik it is over exaggerated in a way but also harsh reality. Even where I come from bullying can be pretty harsh/…
I'm not saying this hasn't happened, there's always exceptions and awful people out there. But what happens and the way that happens in this drama is exaggerated even for South Korean standards... I mean even her family bully her.
I'm sorry you had to deal with stuff like that tho, nobody deserves that. I got picked on a lot in school when I was younger and it has affected my self esteem, so I understand how it feels tho for me it wasn't necessarily for the way I looked...
You know, after you find out about the Korean beauty standards, you start wondering if they are overreacting or…
It's definitely pretty over exaggerated, I have Korean friends who don't fit the Korean beauty standards at all and they had a nice and normal highschool and middleschool experience.
I mean I'm sure it has happened somewhere sometime but it's not the norm...
People do tend to treat good-looking people better but not necessarily mistreat the ugly ones. And I'm not talking about Korea now, I mean all over the world, it's just how the human brain works...
I kinda don't get why people are scoring this show already. There are only 2 eps out and people have already given…
It's okay, people change their scores as the show progresses... Also MDL won't count ratings of people that have watched less than a certain amount when the show ends. And I'm not mad about people rating while it's airing, I see it as an orientation rating, it gives me an idea if I want to jump to watch before it ends or just wait it out.
I don't think that his brother is bad at heart,he just like teasing her
Yeah I hate how they know that "being ugly" is like a trauma for her and they still berate her for that, it feel like there's no family love between them, so inconsiderate...
i just hope it will not be like in drama School 2015. the girl who bullied Joo Gyung transferred to the same school…
My brother is awful and still is better than this little shit hahaha but I've been told he'll get better... We'll see ^^ Her family sucks ass but I really like her sister tho
