I think what is happening is this.People keep watching, they hate it, but they keep giving the show chances hoping…
Or maybe they just want to finish what they started, not everyone experiences dramas the same way. If no one was "silly" enough to watch a drama they don't like till the end, all ratings would be high which would defeat the purpose of a rating system.
Seeing the reviews here with low ratings (whether it's for overall or just for the story/acting/music) shows irresponsibility.…
I understand where you are coming from but personally I think people should rate the shows however they feel. I mean, if a show has a great production and one actor that's really good but left you feeling disappointed and for more than half of it it wasn't even a fun ride, it does warrant a low rating. And about dropping it, watching it all doesn't mean you liked it, many people are completionists, they like to finish what they start even if they don't enjoy it, I myself am one but more with books than dramas. Besides if everyone who doesn't like a drama dropped it and didn't rate it, all ratings would be too high (which already happens in this website and most rating websites) and it would make sense to have that feature anyway. If both people who liked it and people who disliked it rate it, the rating will be more accurate to the truth. Another thing that I see often is people complaining that dramas they like have "unjustified low ratings" but they have 7 point something ratings, which is actually a pretty good rating, if it had a 5 I would understand people who loved it being bummed but why you all act like a high 7 is bad?
I think it’s a combination of both. Since On Dal and Pyeonggang are historical figures, the drama will lose…
Oh I see, so they're real historical figures, maybe I'll check it out then, always wanted to know a little more about Korea's popular history, but the dramatization will make it more easy for me to get through it hahaha I'll try and watch it while it airs so I'm less likely to give up half way Thanks for your answer!
Could you tell me what it is that's so wrong with the original story (webtoon) without too many spoilers (I don't…
Ah okay, got it! Seems like the problem is that the writer tried to extend the story too much. Hopefully in the drama this gets fixed since it is limited to 16 episodes. Thanks for the answer!
Both Go Ho's Starry Night (this one more) and High-end crush are my favorite guilty pleasures!! I hope this one keeps the streak going, I'm exited!! Especially since it has Lee Tae Sun and I've been waiting for a main role from him for a while.
I don't mind they based these dramas from webtoon stories they might be bad but they are popular for a reason…
Ah yes, I agree, I was thinking more in general. Since this is an adaptation, the director is more important to me too. The FL actress I've always liked too , she's good so I'm not worried in that aspect either :)
I have mixed opinions on the webtoon tbh. It was my first webtoon/manhwa and I really liked it. BUT it just seems…
You don't need to apologize at all, I love that you took time out of your day to explain this to me! Thank you ^^
In that case I'll probably watch the drama first and then maybe I'll read the webtoon, since I plan on getting into them anyway but don't know where to start. I don't care if it's all about the romance, in fact I think that's a good thing for me, I would love if it incorporated self love themes more strongly too but now that I know before going into it I won't have the wrong idea so I could enjoy it for what it is.
But I'm afraid that I'll like the guy she doesn't choose at the end hahaha be it Suho or Seojun, it always happens to me, in dramas and books... I'm doomed lol. I don't mind if she gets with both of them (as long as she is not two timing ofc) if I like both guys but only when I like the FL and understand her behavior and why she does what she does.
The kind of love triangles I don't like are the ones where the girl never spares a thought for the 2nd ML, cause then it's not really a love triangle is it? I mean I don't mind them as long as they don't give me SLS or if I like the 1st ML enough. The ones I really hate is the ones where the 1st ML isn't good or their relationship sucks but she still picks him cause *kdramas*...

I spoil myself all the time hahaha I'm very picky especially with romance plots so I rather spoil myself a little and avoid big disappointments and wasting time haha And yes that's what I got from other comments, I'm not mad at the drama being its own thing especially if the webtoon isn't finished, as long as it is good...

Ah okay, yeah I understood what you meant haha ^^ thanks
Though I think it's more relevant when the screenwriter is the one that's the same cause it reflects more on the story, doesn't it? Same director is good to if you like the production/editing/etc which are very important aspects too
People ship the couple that they think have a more interesting dynamic or more chemistry.
