So I really liked but might disagree with your comment or find it a little painful. I am a HUGE Untamed fan, mainly…
I understand your feelings, but you shouldn't be hurt, there's nothing inherently wrong with loving a show for whatever reason, even if that reason is how handsome the actors are. Entertainment is like that, if it entertains you then it succeeded in its purpose.

I have to say I didn't read everything, I read the beginning and stopped when the point became clear to me...…
You clearly are one of those rabid fangirls the OP was talking about.
If you read everything instead of getting triggered and rush down to write this, you would have seen that the OP said they think the show is good and that they love it.
The article is fine, it's an observation, and the fact that you reacted this way just made OP's point even more valid.
"Is simply not true" lol yeah right, that's your opinion... not a fact.
And no, cinema and music aren't that different when it comes to marketing. Just because you don't enjoy or praise shows solely cause you like the actors doesn't mean other people don't. The success of a film/show can't rely solely in the good looks of the actors, that's true but that's not what the OP was trying to imply (again you would have known if you read it).
Also, plenty of successful shows/bands are "undeserving" of the praise they receive from fans, while some other more "deserving" ones are overlooked. So get off your high horse, claiming to know what "good" cinema is... lol
Regardless everyone enjoys whatever they want lol and that's fine.

So far in this drama most of the people hate 2FL including me. So no there's no second lead syndrome AT ALL. More…
Hahaha thanks ^^ I'll watch them soon and join the discussion in the comment section.

I quite enjoy it! I love the fairytale-esque style of the narration and editing, and I don't feel compelled to skip or fast forward any scenes, which doesn't happen so often for me. I like pretty much all the characters except, you know, 2FL. However, I'm not sold on the romance yet, FL is great but I don't know what to expect from her romancewise.

Actually I haven't watched eps 5&6 cause I'm scared lol

i think the 2FL is just relatable, one sided love, getting jealous and stuff
I don't find her relatable at all but I guess that could be why some people like her :)

The love triangle is really minor to the point it doesn't feel like one. Also I like the 2nd lead female actress…
Thanks for letting me know! ^^ I watched some eps already and I liked them, the triangle doesn't bother me as of now, I hope it stays that way. However, her being so irrelevant to the plot makes me think she might create bigger conflict later in the series, I mean she's credited as "main role" after all.

MrHyde I am exactly like you, I hate hate hate when a FL is chasing a ML. However in this drama it's somehow ok,…
I watched the first 4 episodes already and yeah I agree with you, she chases him but it's fine somehow, I guess the fact that she takes no shit from him helps lol. Turns out I really like the show even if I'm not 100% sold on the romance yet, as you said, I'm scared she might be the one that ends up hurting the ML, or that it just doesn't work given their issues and circumstances.

Now that I started it (watched until ep 4) I see what you mean hahaha I don't like her either. As of now I don't think she's a bad person but her personality and her one sided crush annoys me.

One thing that truly pisses me off is how she acts so "nice and understanding" of everyone except the FL, hypocritical if you ask me.

In the anime, it was implied that she was actually crushed on even before she changed & it was more like, that…
Oh I see, cool then. Thanks for letting me know ^^

You just have to watch it, seriously it's not your typical drama! At this point there is absolutely no love triangle,…
Thank you very much!! ^^

As long as she is not pining for him it's enough, I'm fine if they kinda fall at the same time, though I prefer it when the ML falls first/harder.

So let me see if I got it...It kinda looks like she fell first cause she chases him around (due to her mental health situation), but not really, she doesn't like him like that yet, and in fact he is the one is already falling,... right? That sounds pretty good then!

I'm kinda nervous I might not like it since now I have very high expectations hahaha I'm off to watch the first episode then! Thank you again!!

He definitely does not have any feelings for her. Idk where they are getting 2nd female lead syndrome.
Maybe they just like the 2nd FL actress. But I had to make sure anyway. Thank you!! ^^

Who likes who first? Is there some kind of serious love triangle? Does the ML have any feelings for 2nd FL? I'm seeing some people saying they're having 2nd female lead syndrome.

I don't like dramas where the FL is the one chasing the ML or pining for him, I like it the other way around. Just personal preference. Everyone is raving about this so I wanna see it but if it's not my thing then I'll pass.

Please spoil me!!!

Now thinking about it, just off the top of my head, maybe Jun Ji Hyun would be my pick for Claire, what do you…
It's a Korean classic! I took a class on Korean Popular Culture and it was one of the films that my teacher urged us to watch. It's quite unique I would say.

BTW it's actually a trilogy! But the plots are not connected. There's a My sassy Girl 2 with Cha Tae Hyun in it, but I ignore its existence cause its not by the same director/screenwriter, thus not part of the "trilogy", besides it's just not as good.

Hope you enjoy it if you watch it ^^

I really like her, haven't seen any of her dramas, but I've seen some of her movies. My faves are Il Mare, My sassy girl and (especially) Daisy.

PS: I've just checked her MDL page and, for how popular she is, she has a surprisingly short portfolio. She has like 4 dramas, only 2 of them could be considered modern (after 2000s), and one upcoming. She has more movies but not as many as I expected.
I've yet to successfully get into Japanese dramas, but I'm still trying. The trailer looks funny, and the girl doesn't seem your usual shy, quiet, soft, submissive and unrealistically nice female lead, which is a great thing. BUT! All the boys start liking her cause she's thin now? I get it is realistic but shallowness is not what I look for when I watch a romance drama.

We'll see, maybe the main male lead liked her from before or smth... I hope

I'm not totally opposed to watching Thai dramas, in fact I've tried before but failed to find something that I liked. Though I know it's not impossible, because there's this one movie I watched that was Thai and I actually loved it, it was called Inhuman kiss (2019) and I don't know but the plot, acting (very natural) and vibe of that movie really did it for me.

Anyway for the most part I'm not sure I'll get into them anytime soon:
- I'm not into BL, which I feel is like a major factor in starting to watch Thai dramas for some people.
- The acting seems very over the top and characters are usually very childish, which sometimes is okay but it gets annoying fast.
- Comedy, very over the top.
- The language is not pleasant for me but I can suck it up and get over that.
- Some very touchy subjects and inmoral stuff that gets normalized or brushed off (I know not all are like that but it makes trying feel very risky, and at the end of the day it is still a time investment)

And lastly, the ones I've tried kinda felt repetitive and were boring, but then again I might have been trying the wrong ones... I just wish there were more Thai things like Inhuman Kiss :(

The reason I can't drive myself to watch is because this drama look a lot like telenovelas lol And I had my full…
That's what it is! There was something that put me off watching Thai dramas and I couldn't describe it! That's it lol they totally feel like telenovelas hahaha

I haven't seen Hospital Playlist but I will eventually, being from the writer and director of the Reply series and Prison Playbook I have high expectations. But my one complaint is that I wish they would make the friend groups more balanced, it's always one or two girls in a group of guys.

It doesn't need to be 50% ~ %50, not even a similar ratio, but maybe one or two guys in a group of girls? Just to change things up a bit.
