Okay the kissing scene at the end of episode 9 is freaking cute... even if I didn't feel their chemistry is still very freaking cute LOL

Also I know this is a bit random but On Dal's friend reminds me a bit of Sam from Lord of the rings, not his looks, but his character and the way he feels a little too overprotective over On Dal LOL

So the herb lady from Silla has feelings for Go Geon? I mean I could see that she was attracted to him since the first scene but since she is so scheming, manipulative and deceptive I thought it was one more of her games... but in this episodes her feelings seem to be genuine... Not that I ship them tho, she's an interesting character but I'm not rooting for her...

Ouff, I'm sorry but I'm not digging Na In Woo's performance. I know they're doing the best they can with what they have and that it was unavoidable but... idk I feel like he is not portraying On Dal very well. He somehow feels forced, mainly in the serious scenes, but some of the goofy ones too...

Too bad, I really enjoyed the first episodes, until the scandal broke out, but with each episode since then my enjoyment is decreasing more and more. Not only cause of the ML situation, but the overall plot seems to have (imo) stalled, considering how fast paced the first episodes seemed. Anyways, I'm going to keep watching with an open mind and we'll see.

To not be too negative I'll say that I find the characters in this drama very refreshing. Sometimes in historical dramas, characters seem copies of other historical dramas, they're repetitive, but on this one I feel they have some personalities and dynamics that I'm not used to see in Sageuks (tbh I haven't watched many since it's not my preferred genre of choice, and they tend to bore me), also the way they behave and the choices they make seem quite refreshing too.

The music, especially that one song that repeats a lot and goes like "Feels like~~ I see you in my dreams..." is very reminiscent of 2000's american teen shows for me LOL... feels like something I would have heard in a Dawson's creek episode and I kinda like it....It gave it a nostalgic vibe, which the show and cinematography also has hahaha

PS: I think I meant more melancholic than nostalgic haha not sure maybe both

Agree, I didn't see any of them as being selfish either....Sun oh on the other hand.... LOL

I would like to add that she had abandonment issues and the more she liked Sun oh the more scared she was and the worse she felt about herself (since he was rich, good-looking, popular etc)...

She says this herself on the show. Kind of like : "The more I like him the smaller I feel".

The whole not wanting to hurt him was there but it wasn't the main reason at all.

I'm guilty of doing the "not watching anything that is below 7 on mdl" which I'm pretty sure it's preventing me from watching some dramas that I would probably enjoy ...
That's why I think this drama's rating is unfair since a lot of people have the same mentality and I don't think it deserves below 7 rating, but oh well this is just my opinion hahaha
Just out of curiosity, what are some dramas that are below 7 here that you actually ended up enjoying?

It is just 6 episodes and it isn't that bad, especially if you aren't a Sun Oh fan.

I recommend you to check it out, especially if you haven't been "waiting" for the second season since you are less likely to face disappointment

You can always drop it halfway if it isn't your thing

I don't think everybody that rated it poorly has done it for that reason, but many have indeed, and you just need to read a couple 1.0 reviews to see it clearly

Anyways I feel like when a show is getting a lot of unfair criticism it is okay to disagree and criticize people's "unfair criticism" (lol confusing sentence) as long as it is done respectfully of course...

PS: By "unfair" criticism I mean complaining about things that weren't objectively like that (or that they misunderstood), and especially those people who are doing it aggressively and rudely
