People are excited because this kiss tells us a lot about their relationship. The buildup.. the tension.. and then the payoff. It was just perfect. It's what we've been waiting for. It shows perfectly how they both feel about each other. Especially having Shun initiate it means a lot.

It's not a selfish desire. There's enough straight webtoons to adapt. There was no need to use a queer original work and then completely remove the queer aspect.
