Sorry - I usually write "read at your own risk" before I drop a huge bomb. I apologize for that.

I don't know the agenda for Uncle Yue and 3rd princess as I haven't read anyone asking or commenting on it. I do know that Uncle Yue and 3rd princess have their own agenda for whatever reason.

But per the people that read the novel had said LBY and 3rd prince are actually BFFs or good friends. However, in the novel/drama, they are both acting like they don't like each other or interact with each other.

LBY is a type of guy - What he wants, he plans it and he gets it. For once, he's lost at words. He doesn't know how to respond to any of CSS clap back. No one has ever talk back to him either. Look at the Emperor, he looks mean and even try to act mean, but he caves into LBY. LBY snaps his finger and Emperor is all there with ears and eyes open waiting to help LBY.

CSS is a challenge and that's why we love this drama. I'm not saying LBY is a God and everyone should bow down to him but in my opinion, if the man has repeated himself a few times and also said, he will protect you - at least be considerate of his warnings and think before you act. He isn't just saying it to be controlling of her as he repeated a few times that he's not trying to take her freedom away. He's not trying to change her either but he wants her to start viewing people and the outside world (or the palace) in a different light. It's not as easy as living with the Cheng's family. The aunt and grandma may have mistreated her while growing up but people in the palace will do 10x worse than the aunt and the grandma. LBY is warning her b/c at the end of the day, CSS will not be punish b/c as LBY said, he will protect her including taking her punishment if Emperor chooses to punish her for any of her revenge.

If he chose Yang Yang, this drama will not be 55 episodes. I think Yang Yang would be great too as she'll love LBY with all her heart and she wouldn't put LBY through all these commotion.

But LBY is a complicated guy and he wants a complicated girl too. Yang Yang is too easy.

No that's not what I meant but that's what you understood from my posts. I didn't say woman should keep quiet and listen to man talk - I said, if the man told you 3 times to stay out of it, then do it b/c the man didn't have to repeat 3 times for no reason.

It's like you telling your kids or husband (if you have any) to do something 3 times and they don't do it, do you sit there and do nothing or do you bitch? Or if your parents is telling you to do something 3 times and they start yelling, do you yell back or do you actually get up with a quickness and do it?

It's all common sense. The drama may be 2000 years ago but we can still apply it to today's world.

BTW, it's everyone's destiny to please someone unless you want or choose to be alone without humans or pets in your life.

BUT don't put words in my mouth about woman obeying man b/c I can go all day about this subject when it comes to woman empowerment.

If you really look at the big picture, it's really on LBY. He gave too much power to CSS and he didn't think CSS will advise or "encourage" the CP. Pretty much, she gave her 2cents on any situation in the palace when it comes to "good" people in her eyes. If the Empress is good to her, then she should just be good to the Empress. She doesn't need to butt in, in other people's business even if they are related to the empress. CSS needs to separate the 2 things. Again, CSS is not stupid. She ratted her own uncle out in the beginning of the drama. She needs to also realize that even if you are in the same family, you have good and evil people.

Also, you can't just demote the CP if you think he's unfit. The CP has always been the 1st born son. CP has to do something very stupid to be demoted. So far, the CP hasn't done anything, I mean, literally NOTHING except give high rink to his extended family even when they don't deserve it. That's not stupid enough to be demoted. However, LBY was trying to build as much "bad" things against the CP and without this, then it's one off the list for LBY.

About the Emperor, I really do like the Emperor as he's amazing and funny as heck but sometimes I think how did he become an Emperor when he intend to slap everyone's hand when they do something wrong. It's like, "hit on hand" and pretty much said, "don't do it again" Now I'm starting to question myself, do I really want this good Emperor or do I want a mean Emperor that don't let shit slide at all?

As a parent, yes - you just kind of give up and be like, fine you want to grow up so fast, go for it. Don't come back and said, I didn't warn you.

I know the feeling b/c I had a teenager and I'm glad I'm over that stage with him. Teenagers are the worst kind of species. If you were a good teen, then good for you but if you were my teen and you acted like CSS, if it was back in the day, I would have "hit" my teen like CSS mom.

I agreed. When CSS mom was being "MOM" to her, she came off like a bitch. BUT if you are mother in this comment section and have teens, you'll know how her mom feels. I don't agreed with CSS mom on how she treated or discipline CSS in some situation but her mom was right about some things. Now CSS will start seeing what her mom was lecturing her about. Her actions can fly with the Cheng's family as CSS is the 4th daughter but her actions will not fly in the palace if she wasn't engaged to LBY. LBY may be the adopted son but he has a lot of power as you can see the emperor, empress, and consort dotes on LBY more than their own children.

Because LBY says she can do whatever she wants and he'll protect her but that doesn't give CSS the right to just chime in her 2cents whenever she feels like that person is good to her. She needs to understand where LBY is coming from as "don't trust just anyone if they are nice to you" Nice people has an agenda too.

Even though the mom feels jealous or envy of the empress and wanted that role for CSS, I think that CSS will come to realize that her mom wasn't as bad as she thought.

People grow up later and start thinking back on their love one's lectures. I hope she does build that relationship with her mom later. **wishful thinking**

Yes - don't get me wrong as I know it's LBY's fault too by keeping her in the dark BUT --- girl if the man told you not get yourself involved, 3 times already, then just don't. Go to the palace and learn, have some cute scenes with LBY and go home. Okay, then we'll never have a drama - hahaha.

No. From my understanding, 3rd prince and LBY are working together to remove the CP b/c LBY knows that CP is incapable of ruling the country. 3rd prince may seems conniving and evil but he's actually a good person.

per some of the comments, her son (which is the crown prince) was strip from the CP title for some reason like he was unfit to be the CP. I don't actually know what did the CP did to be strip off . But (b/c I haven't read the novel either) the comments stated that the empress requested to be demoted though. The emperor, consort Yue, and empress were all sad about the situation.

NVM. If you are only focusing on one thing, then you'll never see the whole picture. Let's talk again when the drama is over.

You don't need to read the novel. This is all common sense. We have watched CSS for 30 episodes now and if she hasn't learn yet to stay out of people's business, then again like I said before, she'll see the consequences later.

You think you should be angry at LBY, little you know who will take the blame for CSS. Let me tell you right now. It won't be CSS that will be punish for her own actions.

I don't think you understand why LBY was mad. spoilers - read at your own risk --- LBY has been plotting to overthrow the crown prince and he was hoping that once the crown prince confress to the emperor about appointing family to higher rink and not punishing family when they do wrong, the emperor will punish crown prince or demote him. However, CSS gave the crown prince an idea so thats why the emperor gave the 2 seals to the CP To use the army to save Wang long (who is not fit to be a general).

CSS has a lot to still learn and grow up but damn, at 15 yesrs old, just freaking listen to your fiance. LBY never wanted CSS the palace but due to the emperor's request that CSS needs to learn the palace rules and learn things she was never taught. Its frustrating that people on here can be mad at LBY and praise CSS. Come on, its both parties. No one was wrong or right. Both have to listen and understand each other.

When LBY said he'll protect her, it doesn't mean she goes and start giving ideas to the prince and/or princess or start a commotion at important events.

I read another comment that he couldn't find enough evidence so he got really frustrated as he wanted to figured this out before the wedding. Howevee, LBY decided to just kill the whole ling family since everything lby know pointed to his "father". Maybe I'll go read the part of the book.

Question: If LBY knew it was Ling Yi that killed his father- why is LBY still trying to find out who is behind the massacre? it doesn't make sense.
