I just want to point out that Ray is slowly closing the chapter on Mew, the reason I believe looking at it holistically now and from your above comment Mew was Rays only true friend especially during his dark times and he mistook that for love whereas Mew always knew that Ray was just a friend he loved (friendship love ) but nothing more. So I think he’s closely coming to the realisation that there’s a line in being lovers and in being best friends. Hence when he started his speech he said I want you to be happy even if that happiness isn’t with me. For me that’s growth.

I was thinking earlier that Mew and Ray planned the big Exposée, I made an earlier comment about it below, I had to rewatch it just to make sure. But that’s probably the only way it would make sense. The thing is even if they were to have planned it Ray had no reason to Mention Chueum and April.

That could be the most plausible because I’ve just rewatched it again (at a reasonable hour 🤣) Ray told Mew he didn’t want anything from telling him about Top and Boston but wanted his friend to know. So I’m suspecting that Mews reaction was not what Ray hoped for hence the big exposée. But you’re right they all look like friends again Sans Boston.

For fact we don’t know if he heard the recording in the bathroom, and that’s why Ray didn’t out Top and Boston like he exposed the rest of the friend group.

I’ve read some great comments below but my 5am brain can’t compute Mew not knowing whilst Ray burnt the house down.

Another reason I think this is because Mew had such composure with Top till they got home and he exploded, boy I felt his pain imagine giving yourself solely to someone only for them to betray you with none other than your friend!!

Also to add to this we see in the next episode preview Ray and mew hanging out together so I don’t think there’s animosity there.

Final point During Rays exposée he told Mew he was okay knowing Mews happiness may not come from him but he wants mew to be happy and deserves love from the right person before he got sucker punched.

I think Ray is finally letting go so maybe there’s hope for Sand and Ray but not without Ray apologising profusely to Sand cause what he said to Sand was definitely out of pocket.

One more thing, I agree with the comment below that Mew playing hard to get was probably due to the lack of wanting to be vulnerable and hence why I can see others pov about Mew being manipulative. Or he could really just not want to have his heartbroken hence why he was careful about dating. Mew seemed really excited to be in Love.

Sand may have done Nick a favour with his two birds with one stone move. He knew what he was doing telling Ray and it was not because he is friends with Mew no he hates Top with every fibre of his being and also Subsequently in love with Ray.

I’m a bit annoyed by the ending but it makes sense. if someone did what she did to him to me…people it’s over! no matter how much time had passed and sometimes one cannot just get over it. I’m annoyed she didn’t realise sooner nor was she straight forward or truthful but also annoyed he never said anything either!!! Everything was unspoken between them which made the chemistry so good in this movie that I felt the pain of their loss of each other. I wanted a happy movie and I’m side eyeing ( a bombastic side eye that is) my Netflix algorithm matching me with this film at 94% 😭this is bittersweet so be forewarned. Now I need to find my happy pill film at 1:15am ugh. By the way great OST though.

I feel like I’m missing so much context, like I feel there was a part 1 and 2 already. I know there’s not but I think this drama would be much better with more in depth backstory like how did they fall in love etc. I haven’t read the novel and I think I’ll have to now.

there’s actually a series on Netflix called Old Enough that shows Japanese children as young as 4 going on errands by themselves, so I think there’s an element of trust and safety in their country. like you I don’t agree they should be by themselves till at least their teen years but it seems a little more acceptable over there. I am open to correction, if you live in SK or Japan I’d love to hear from you.

Daddy Cha wanting what master Kim has and built over the years will be his downfall, him not knowing that they will always be loyal to master Kim is a tragedy in itself. hiii, where can I read the novel in English

I saw the original first and then saw the remake, here are my thoughts and feelings on both. First of I would like to say they are both complimentary movies to each other, with exemplary performance of both Actresses. Now having said that I am not biased for one or the other, the story is interpreted based on my perception. In the original you can feel the complex emotions both girls have and tension when it comes to the male lead. you understand how one did everything according to how you should live life although craving to be a rebel whilst the other lives like a rebel going against the grain of society but craving it’s stability. The bond between the girls is strong, and there was a lot of nuances in the original. For example Go ha runs character had a little bit of a rebellious streak and Mi so character was actually a goody two shoes, if you watch the original you can see so at the end of the movie. Now in the remake I missed that nuance in their friendship, which is why I feel this is complimentary to the original. Both films are great and invoke different emotions, although similar in storyline, they are two different movies. I would recommend watching both.
