With eighteen more episodes remaining, if the current pace is maintained, I anticipate this will be my favorite drama of the year.

I can only speak for costume dramas because that's what I watch: *Blossom*, *The Untamed*, *Princess Gambit*, and other roles I've seen. She tends to play cold characters. I actually like some, like *Blossom* and a few others, but this one and *Princess Gambit* annoyed me so much.

I'm so sorry that happened to your aunt. It's so crazy to think that there are still people around who lived through those times. It wasn't even that long ago when you think about it. I started researching bound feet, and my gosh, that scares me. Not being able to run or defend yourself. I would most definitely cross-dress in those times. No way am I giving up my autonomy.

I completely agree that the mom is straight trash, even though my previous comment comes off as if I support her. I just think that those two act like they were the only ones being forced into arranged marriages and studying, etc., when most people back then were, and FTY was in just as much of the same predicament. That's why I no longer feel bad for Jingxiu or Yake. They ruined her for what they wanted. I know that Jingxiu came up with the plan, but Yake knew what the ramifications would be.

That's one way to see it, but I think FTY would've rather learned that lesson without trashing her rep. Those two had so many ways to ditch that marriage. Like, Yake and Yu could've just run off together, but nope, they just trashed her life for their own gain. And yeah, I totally agree that Madam Yu is also at fault for pushing a relationship her son clearly didn't want. But seriously, what mom back then wasn't pushing their kids to do stuff? These women had homes and reputations to protect. Mom Yu picked the best girl she could find because she thought FTY could help her son out in the future as a married couple.

Basically!! She could have chosen to take her anger on the granny or her mother in law but she takes it out on a teenager.
