Then don't watch. Judging other people is such a lame move. Mangas and Live Actions aren't bibles or instructionals…
At least I’m not some self-righteous hypocrite trying to school people online while having accomplished absolutely nothing close to writing a manga like Contrast. You throw around moral outrage like you’re some authority on storytelling, yet you don’t even grasp the basic concept of fiction. I guarantee you watch horror movies, crime dramas, and thrillers without whining that they “promote murder” or “encourage violence.” Suddenly, you act morally superior. The double standard is pathetic, and your media literacy is practically nonexistent.
I'm glad to see that all the moralistic comments and rage rating have failed to dethrone this masterpiece. Most people seem to have skipped school where you learn about "literature appreciation" this is not about morals but understanding a story with it's premise. The show stayed true to the manga.
When I was a sexually-mature 15 year old schoolboy with raging gay hormones, I had the hots for a supply teacher…
It's shocking that people pretend it doesn't happen and they want it turned into an episode of Law & Order SVU when it's just a story. Alot of teenager's first crush and even experiments into love are with adults.
although whatever akira and the tutor have going on is not exactly romanticized in the show, it's very obvious…
Even if it was wrong, what did you want to do about it? They're telling a story and Akira's experiences and what shaped him. Not everything in life has to be a moral lesson.
havent watched it yet but all these people justifying grooming in the comments is making me sick
Then don't watch. Judging other people is such a lame move. Mangas and Live Actions aren't bibles or instructionals about good behaviour. They're stories and books. They're like novels, not there to preach to people but showing just a glimpse and moment in the character's life. I'm also sick of all this judgement in the comment sections.
I wouldn't have said these people are boring necessarily but you do have a point. I always get caught up in stupid…
Would I even notice if you blocked me? I mean, I’m just an “empty account,” remember? Hard to be bothered by doors closing when they barely matter to begin with 😂🤣

Of course a kdrama "pick me" would come up with such simplistic logic as "it's called a drama"..... 😂 🙈
A "drama" isn't a magic word that makes all shitty behavior immune to criticism. We can have flawed characters without romanticizing toxic tropes.
But you're right about one thing, you are triggered for no valid reason. Getting this upset because people are analyzing a show you like is its own special kind of drama. Maybe log off and go rewatch your problematic faves in peace.

If the Cinderella twist here is “the prince kicks and humiliates her while she’s broke and vulnerable ,” then we’re not watching a fairytale — we’re watching a tantrum.
A charming prince would ask what’s wrong, or use his vast resources to find out what's going on not destroy her work or humiliate her.

The issue isn’t about water — it’s about disrespect.
He threw away her work, on purpose, after she spent days on it. That’s humiliation, not “personality.”
A character can have emotions without vandalizing someone’s effort. Having a temper doesn’t require being cruel.
