Ambitious premise but an execution that failed to give it justice
I decided to give this a try because the premise sounded interesting and despite the not so high rating, I've read comments saying they enjoyed it and that it was an emotional story. I don't really have much to say other than my expectations weren't met.
• If the acting and chemistry were better then maybe I would have given this a higher score but that aspect wasn't satisfying enough for me. But for the sake of appreciating the staff and cast's efforts as well as the fact this was made in 2022, I tried to be generous with the score.
• Production was too obviously low-budget.
• Ost was okay but nothing memorable or impactful.
• Characters and their motivations as well as attraction towards each other weren't convincing or compelling enough.
• Too much plot holes affected my immersion to the story and characters.
- There were some moments which seem intended to elicit an emotional response to the viewer, but I didn't really end up feeling anything other than frustration about the characters' actions.
• Time loop thingy was too confusing for my smol brain.
• This could have been better but eh my generous suspension of disbelief can only do much. It might have been more acceptable when there weren't much Korean BLs yet, but now there's much better shows to watch and waste your time on.
There honestly wasn't much for me to hold on to other than that one scene where I saw a 2019 kpop song's mv (if i saw correctly it was for Seventeen's HIT?) playing on an arcade machine when the setting was supposed to be 2007 (now that somehow made me chuckle and probably the only highlight of the show for me lol). And for that moment alone i added a 0.5 to make it an overall score of 7.
