Well people always say they want something different and when someone brings a fresh idea it gets dismissed as garbage like this. At the end, people just want the same recycled dramas while pretending to want something original.

I haven’t seen the donghua but I’ve read the manhua a long time ago till it got axed when bilibili was shut down. Yeah I remember him being surrounded by women to the point where I couldn’t tell who was who (especially the main girl and her cousin or twin?!). Where is the donghua going at right now?

Nah this is a different story. Both are very popular web novels but I think battle through the heavens is a little better in terms of world building and characterization. The drama didn’t do justice for the story according to novel readers but it looked good to me. But immortal ascension is one of the most popular Chinese web novels of all time so will see how this adaptation goes

I do seek entertainment too but I wouldn’t want to waste my time on a bad drama. I have traumatized by some dramas lately that I regretted even wasting my time😭
