Same here! MOGA became a bit draggy for me after a few episodes. This is definitely way better. I hope it keeps up bec too often, Cdrama writing becomes messy and goes downhill when it gets to the middle.

I agree, too. I found myself looking forward to watching each episode. Don't mind the MDL ratings. There are always people who loves to pull the ratings down regardless of the drama's popularity. I love how they made the FL strong and independent. It's not often you see the ML trusting the FL with a huge responsibility like a huge nation. I love this drama. and btw, at WeTV, it's on the top of the list.

For me, it was. The main leads chemistry and acting was quite good. There wasn't any new elements to the writing but surprisingly, the overall outcome is a plus for me. It kept me entertained even though this isn't actually the genre I preferred. Kudos to the main leads. I am not familiar with any of them but their acting seems promising. FL reminds me of FL from FIYS but an improved version. No offense! Just my personal opinion. I like FIYS FL as long as she stays in sweet young adult roles.

I'm looking forward to JX and HT love affair to begin but I'm heartbroken for 2nd ML ! I love Gao Han ever since Falling into your smile. *sigh *sigh

I'm with you. The age gap is not a problem. Lusi made it work in Dating in the Kitchen. He's so handsome and the way his eyes speak! He's a born actor. Such a shame really.

I wanted to watch that drama because I like his acting but sadly even his talent couldn't keep me dropping the drama. So disappointed with his FL.

I agree with you. He's a great actor but so far most of his FLs are lack luster. The only thing they have going with them are their pretty face. Such a shame really because he's not only handsome but also has that certain charisma on the screen. We don't know the real story but I hope he's alright emotionally and has just chosen another path to focus on.

I can't understand why YCY gets casted as main leads in several dramas with really outstanding MLs. She's a pretty face but she isn't suitable to be the main actress in any drama. No offense to her fans, she would do better to play supporting roles until her acting improves. Her acting is such a sharp contrast to JT who is such a great actor in my opinion.

There shouldn't be an issue about a girl liking her older brother's bff because in real life it actually happens with an even wider age gap. Idk why a lot of ppl see the MLs kindness to the young FL as flirting and some even said it's grooming. My thoughts are that they're determined to find faults to an otherwise good drama. As for me,I'm determined to enjoy this drama. 😃 😊

My thought is that the writer wanted to emphasize that DJX really just saw her as a sister. Being an only child, he probably thinks that SY should treat SZ better than how he's treating her. So he went anyway despite SY's advice to not go and let SZ get away with her attitude to her teachers. Afterwards, he did advise SZ to study hard and behave. I think it's to contrast how it all started, DJX and SZ relationship. Then it has come full circle.

It can be when one who teases intends it to be flirting but in HL, DJX doted on SZ bec she is his bff's sister. He fell in love with her when they met again in his city while she was in university already. Even then, it took some time before he started seeing her in a romantic light.

Lusi's other dramas are getting popular bec a lot more ppl are getting to know her and like her characterization in these drama. Ofc haters would naturally do their best to bring down her drama ratings. They will criticize and find fault at every turn even when the drama is getting awards and international recognition. I don't trust the ratings at all since even trolls can open an account and rate it at 0 or 1 without even watching the drama. Some ppl are just born contrary and always prefer to see the bad and the ugly instead of the good.

I have read the novel and there was no indication that the ML was flirting with FL while she was still in middle school. He treated her nicely because she's his best friend's sister. He was often teasing her but not flirting. Her family was there to help him when he was at his most desperate moment. ML in the drama was a decent and respectful person.

In reality, many couples around the world got together because they were besties with their brother/sister/cousin. Nothing wrong there as long as both are single and consenting adults. The age gap wasn't much. Again, in reality there are couples who have more than 10 years gap but still have a strong relationship/marriage.

True. Some people watch the first episodes and drop it then criticise the FL and the CGI based on those first few episodes. They start out watching with their bias and find flaws in the few eps they watched to support their bias. I feel bad for ZL who worked really hard to bring her characters to life. I saw her BTS while dubbing. She dubbed for more than 2 hours using different tones of voices to diffrentiate the characters she played in this drama. Ppl pick on her for speaking like a child but she was portraying a newly hatched water beast so she was right to voice her character that way. She's a great actress and very dedicated to her craft. WAY was also criticised for looking glum most times and acting immature. For me, he also did great. His character showed a good development. Over all, I think it's a great watch.

It's great to see the ratings go up a bit. TLI is a great xianxia drama. The cast, each one of them, really did a great job. The villains were so hateful it makes me want to smash them on my screen LOL. The good guys just had enough happy times to balance the angst. Storyline was solid and pacing was just right. No draggy episodes and yet we see their character development. Even some of the villains had their moment of redemption. I'm gonna rewatch one of these days and share my thoughts. At the moment, I'm still overwhelmed from the express package. Too much happening I couldn't absorb and process it all.

The express package stung my eyes and gave me puffy face. I cried so much not only with Lusi's parts but also with the 2nd couple's interactions and their heroism. I even cried when HS chose to redeem herself by turning against her father's wishes.
