Yes I totally agree. I watch dramas to be entertained and I don't critique a lot as long as the scriptwriting doesn't border on the ridiculous side and make us audience look dumb. And I must say, for a xianxia, I enjoyed this drama so much that I wait with bated breath for episodes to drop daily.

Actually, GJ sacrificed a lot for Ayin but just never tell her face to face. For instance, he fought for Ning Yuan mountain for her and even gave a precious treasure to make the offer to fight very tempting for the Fox clan. His problem is he cannot reveal in front of the immortals his deep affection for Ayin but he is always thinking about her and what will make her happy. He even went to the abyssal prison and risked his life to get the last ingredient for the elixir that will extend her life. I get him and understand him and feel sorry for Ayin who was still very young and doesn't fully understand GJ's huge responsibility.

It's actually up to the viewer. We see what we want to see. Because I'm a Lusi fan, she can't do any wrong for me even if the dialogue and the script is full of plotholes, I'd still say it's very good as long as it's Lusi. In fairness, Lusi never disappoints in any genre. Bias or no bias, I think this drama is good and worth watching. I love the pacing of the drama and the cast did a great job with their characters. I'm not even a xianxia fan but I enjoy watching this drama.

From what I've read from comments in diff sites, it's supposed to be a fake marriage between HY and FY but YQ crashed it and presented himself as the groom. We'll have to wait and see until next year to find out the real story.

the plot seems parallel to ALP but i love the casting. they all did a great job even CGI looks great to me. although i've never been a fan of xianxia with all those immortals who are seriously flawed, more than humans LOL, i'm loving this drama.

From what I know, 2 episodes are released from Mon-Wed and only 1 eps on Thu. Nothing from Fri through the whole weekend. Next airing is Mon again which is already next year. So yes, it's a torture to wait that long but you're not alone. 😭😭😭😭
When the previous phoenix queen talked to FY about her tribulations, she said that it was unheard of for an immortal to have demi god powers. At this point, i'm beginning to understand what YQ did. You described well his dilemma and how he regretted his decision but it has to happen so that FY will be reborn. Hoping for a happy ending which might be since Lusi sort of spoiled it for us already during their livestream.

I am not a xianxia fan but I'm an avid Lusi fan. Maybe I'm biased but I love it! The pacing is perfect and CGI is good. So far the storyline is solid and there's great chemistry between the main leads. Lusi sang the OST and for me, she totally slayed it.
