I can't ever understand how some people can foster that much hate over a drama. It's a drama for crying out loud and it's supposed to entertain us and kill time if we have so much time on our hands. If they don't like a drama, then just drop it and move on. There is no need to rate the drama and write negative comments/reviews. Nobody's qualified to do that unless they've watched the whole drama and can review it without bias. I've dropped a lot of dramas bec of the plot or sometimes the FL or the pairing and a lot of other things. I would have loved to rant and criticise but when I think about those actors/actress working hard for the drama, I feel bad doing it. I wouldn't be able to do half of what they're doing so it is not my place to criticize.

I'm also irritated with GJ character but understands that it is how his character is written and I expect a lot more character growth for him. Lusi is as usual, the superb actress who keeps slaying her roles. If not for her, I wouldn't ever watch a xianxia drama.

Couldn't have said it better than you did. I am Lusi's fan but since I'm almost a senior citizen, I'm not much into campus romance. But this drama is definitely worth the watch. Lusi and CZY's chemistry was so amazing and felt very natural to me. The sibling love-hate relationship is so sweet and so relatable, too. Not only is this drama Lusi's best performance but also CZY. Their pairing brought out the best of them.

I can relate. Until now, i'm re watching scenes of these two not to mention their BTS. I even opened IG and Tiktok just to watch snippets of these two. That's moving on LOL!

LOL ..... I also thought that it was random and seemed such a silly ending. Later on, from reading posts in this forum, I learned that it symbolizes a husband's love and devotion to his wife.

After watching LLTG, WRTW might seem a little tame. ZL and WL chemistry was much more awesome in LLTG. Before LLTG, I thought ZL chemistry with YY was just awesome. LLTG proved me wrong. Lusi and Wu Lei's chemistry was on a different level. It was epic! Don't get me wrong. This drama is also one of my fave to re watch along with TROTAR, DITK, LLTG and now HL.

He won't. Especially in the last part, he will be a great help to Lanxi.

I also hate palace intrigues but at least they didn't include the backstabbing and chaotic relationships in the King's harem. Gosh, I really hate that. The politics in this drama was more tolerable for me. First time I watched it, I was a bit disappointed with how the ending was written. I somehow learned to accept it and still re watch it for Lusi. She did really well in this drama despite it being male centered. I also love the relationship between the main leads not to mention ZL and YY chemistry was awesome!

In the end, he will help Lanxi. He isn't interested either in power struggles. I like his character.

This i s a good drama. Cute and fluffy with a happy ending not only for the main leads but for the secondary leads. I got hooked for the first few episodes but skipped when it came to ep 18 and went straight to the ending. While the main actors did quite a good job with the acting, I wasn't too happy with how the story progressed. First, the ass***e businessman who kept harassing the FL. The character' pettiness grew old and annoying. I wish the writer didn't drag the character's part in several episodes. I didn't like the part also where FL went to accept the job promotion and lived apart from her husband. Call me conservative or whatever but I believe that married couples should stay together. It's hard to nurture a relationship in absentia. The irony there is that FL wanted to get married because she wants a family of her own but she still chose the promotion. She worked hard for several years already, they could have started a family of their own and started their own traditions. I would have preferred that kind of ending. Still, over-all the drama is worth watching.

Absolutely. We're halfway through the series but the romance of the main leads has shown very little development 😔😔 Next episode SN leaves the farm and LM. Romance gets stuck again.

It does seem to be the case. He also has this habit of just sitting by on the sidelines, observing then giving hints. It's like he's there to monitor Man'er and help her out whenever she's stuck.

She's self-centered and selfish and would do anything for her own gains. It wouldn't surprise me if she steals the garlic peanut recipe but I'm pretty sure she won't be able to duplicate the taste. The taste of Man'er's recipe is a combination of her otherworldly knowledge and the contribution of the people who helped her i.e. SN, YH, 7, and the rest of the family. I wish that LH gets her comeuppance very, very soon! I'm getting tired of her shenanigans.

I agree. Her personality is downright terrible. She's mean to the bone and very biased. It's good that Man'er can stand up against her.

Cute and fluffy alright. But some things bothered me. Like the behavior of ppl in their company. My goodness. They knew that the company is on the verge of collapse yet they don't seem to be working hard except for ML and FL. The men in her team are always gossiping and the women in the other group always preening and strutting around like peacocks. Don't mention gossiping. It surely is a toxic workplace. But ML and FL chemistry are good. Apart from those annoyances I did enjoy watching the drama.

This is what I do, reading comments and sharing, too when I'm stuck on a drama. It's a good way to vent and rave and hopefully help me move on. It's hard for me bec Lusi is a tough act to follow. Her chemistry with her male leads makes them shine brighter. Call me biased but in HL I think that CZY delivered his best portrayal. Together, the two leads made the drama look so natural and relatable.
