It was a joke. Chi wen gave the fox a form/life .. and made ji ling replace him.. created vessel (although a real fox exists). Similarly jiu ying collected stuffs from the moon members and created wuyi (although nothing of her exists, created from scratch, more unreal in a sense from ji ling). So the two head- chi wen and jiu ying having an interaction/connection.. through this these two vessels.. the fox was always conscious, the stiched doll just realized. Ji ling making puppet to live a real life is another aspect. There also the puppet gained consciousness that he is unreal and went through identity crisis.. kinda similar with wuyi now.

Her character is important, she realized she is a created thing, nothing about her is real but she was also manipulated. I feel she just became conscious but wuyi's feelings towards her sister, towards ji ling, her experiences are very real... this crisis of that was not me but the feelings are mine have much importance for the plot too as well as her character. This changes her, she is ready to fight and desperately wants to save her relations, closed ones. She is very very human now in case of emotional aspects.

So it's a love story going on between chi wen and jiu ying

Definitely he doesn't deserve that. After today's episode I feel so so sad for ji ling, what a fate he got.

Maybe because real chi wen's broken body had trapped jiu ying's real form Chi wen is forced to lock himself underground. Anyways I also want to know why he thought ji ling is the best fit to impersonate him.. he gave the fox its form and no one knows his real identity or something else.. real chi wen may be will come out only to die or perish (wang duo plays such roles well) .
