This EP is so out of place, the series has been a comedy that is lively, upbeat and even quirky at times.
Yes they need to solve the past, but do we need this gloomy end-of-the-world atmosphere? Certainly not, and even if we do, they could have divided it and spread them evenly as epilogue or sidestory.
The second ship didn't even get an appearance, seriously we don't need this EP at all.
I have high expectation for a well done ending, after most of the meh endings we have been seeing. I still think it is a show well done, let me put this first.
To be honest, however, I also think they should have ended at the 3/4 segment. They can have the "one palm" hand gesture there.
This show is about redemption, closure, self-discovery, and what they said second chance. Not a magical solution or miracle.
Let's not spoil, but say Corona replacement surgery or hip replacement for the elderly, the result is not guaranteed. And often times, the target itself is a better life quality, never a quick fix or rejuvenation. The last segment kind of overturned the theme of the series.
Okay, I could understand their choice to play safe, their priority is to not upset the fans, that they don't need to risk it. A bit sad.
EP.9 can be skipped entirely, literally nothing progressed. And the BTS is back, slightly better content, however still absolutely BS that last 15+ mins!!!
The only saving grace is Ryan, we get some more of him this EP.
