I think only "Stay with Me" had mostly massively positive comments (and there were a lot of them)... that it will the ending of the season.
I like to sometimes read those negative comments... when they have substance (like other perspective/interpretation, bad changes in script vs. oryginal etc.).

Tinn had to support his whole family. Diao doesn't have to pay for anything (he is living at Yi's condo free of charge), so he can keep the money all for himself. Additionally Tinn was teaching in poorer neighborhood - Diao's pupils seem to come from wealthy families (as per book at least one dad was quite loaded).
I agree with you on the money in Switzerland - I think that his bestie was founding him partially (at least flight and starting accomodation) but he had some kind of scholarship + was planing to work there. My biggest question is: does be know the language (I mean one of the languages)? I am not sure if he can get by with just English.

Yes, the ex was such a wacko 😂 but such a great character (I must say, I was expecting him to be using that childish behaviour as a smoke screen and in the end stab somebody in the back - but nope, he was just himself the whole time 😆). I too was hoping for more screen time for him but perhaps that was just the right amount as some characters are like salt - they add a lot of flavour but in excess can overpower.

From Korea we should not forget "To My Star" and "The Eighth Sense". "Long Time no See" hast it's own unique charm. "Color Rush" (sans dead fish kiss), "Blueming", "Our Dating Sim", "You make me dance" or "Roommates of Poongduck 304" (same actors as in "Kissable Lips" - ML looks so like vampire 😳) were also good.
If one wants to see "gay of demonic charm", then "Antique (Bakery)" is a way to go (I mostly watched it because said charakter was played by the same actor as priest in "Hand - the Guest" and he is eye candy 😏 - luckily in that horror there was no romance, so I could feast my eyes on the priest 🤫).

Especially in "Stay with me", where they were sharing bed (they had 2 separate bedrooms but probably to lazy to make their bed in the morning 😉) and that tube was definitely a lip balm and not lube... 🤭
In "Untamed" they bowed in front of parents/ancestors tablets (~graves) in such a way that according to custom would make them married...
In "Killer and Healer" FL2 gave ML1 a scarf and he in front of her regifted it to MC1 in quite flirty way (let's not forget how the story ended for ML1 and MC1's little sister). ML2 and MC2 were not much better - weren't they singing love parts from opera (the beads in ML2's hands at the end made me tear up)?
"S.C.I." had to have this mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. It was necessary!
"Word of Honor" - MC hat to literally beat ML with a stick because he was so clingy and flirty.

I would add to that some other Chinese "BLs" (it's censored BL but still quite good, if not excellent in some cases):
"Untamed" - it's wuxia but it's a "classic" and based on "Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" (there is official translation).
"World of Honour" - also wuxia and I don't know how it passed censorship with that flirty ML 😉 (also based on novel, "Faraway Wanderers").
"Killer and Healer" (set in the 1920, I think) - want to cry? That's one for you! In BL they usually make women unlikable/one dimensional - here they are complex characters and FL1 (in love in MC1 but he treats her like a friend) is liked a lot by fans. Warning!!! 🚨 it has SE for basically everyone (there is alternative HE for main couple but it's clear it was done from scraps). It's a hidden gem, though. Screenwriter wrote novel (same title) after it was released and there is fan translation of some of it (novel is still in progress, I think)
"S.C.I" - crime procedural based on novels; there are 3 BL couples in the novels but they changed gender of ML2 to female in this adaptation 🥲 (my favourite is 3rd couple: timid but with amazing memory policeman and genius magician who is quite similar to his uncle, a famous criminal - they actually met as children and magician played a trick on policeman [due to jealousy] that made him stutter).
"Justice in the Dark" / "Abyss" - they released 8 EPs (out of 30, I think) and censorship stoped it, so if you want to suffer because it might never come out you can watch it (or read novels, translated by fans, called "Silent Reading").

There is also option of time skip (for example in last EP). Like he decides to go get the treatment and they do flashes of it (or none and just time skip) and they get HE...
I read that 4 of 6 are based on actual people and their story (not Ray/Sand, though), so perhaps we get either BE or open ending for all... (this is GMM so BE is almost impossible)

Yes, "The Promise" was one big commercial for men skin products 😆 (Devonte for men, I think)

That Perth - he is so sweet and I regret that they have not continued his storyline from "My Engineer" (it being pinnacle of the GMM thropes in just title) because I liked that pair the most from the 3. I read the novel (not whole because the last part was copyrighted and removed) and people said that in the last part it's like a total character change for them and only at the very ending they are back to being themselves and HE (the change starts like right after ending of the series but we all know that series can differ from source material, see: "Not me" - the only common were names and the fact that there was switch between twins... the rest was just waste of time + SA thrown in the mix for good measure and it was of course romanticised 😒).

I watched "Like in the movies" (it was already highly recommended but for me it was just alright) and "Gameboys" (people got crazy for that one and I don't get it...) and tried some other but they are simply not my coup of tea. I don't know what is the reason because I can watch low production value series like the Vietnamese ones (I think that Season 2 of "Mr. Cinderella" started few days ago - I am waiting to stockpile EPs before starting) but for some reason Pinoy just doesn't do it for me.

Yes, but some of the side stories are ridiculous with the product placement (I think Vice Versa is a good example of it: I liked the series but I constantly see prayers for their new series, Last Twilight, to have it done better).
I say that they should take Korean series as an example how to do it subtly/smoothly. There were some that I haven't noticed until they were pointed out in some reviews.

Yes, mandatory splashing in the water (or kiss in the pool - but that is now not so common).
Let's also not forget product placement! What kind of show could be without them getting thirsty? A bit less common but also quite often: Lays, Suzuki, instant noodles, cat treats, printers, cosmetics (this at least I applaud - we should normalize men taking care of their skin) and probably many more...
About the clothes - have you seen Perth's Q&A about working on a show and basically sweating buckets in those clothes? 😂 I know I shouldn't laught but at least we know one of the ways they get rid of the excess fat after eating the product placement 😉

Yes, even with all the weird issues it's still watchable and has actually funny moments.
They could have condensed it more but considering how the standard seems to be 12 EPs now, I think they made right decision.

I second that - they both get the same character every time and do nothing with it (they basically copy-pasted characters from Star in my Mind with minor change being Dunk's character not being in love in Joong's from the get go...).
If Joong gets any more calm he would be in coma.
(I am one of the ones who fell around the middle of this series and don't feel motivated to finish it).

The 1st kiss (during bullying session) was them smashing mouths with no "movement" (so circumstances aside it could be labeled as dead fish kiss).
2nd one (in the alley) was fake as Kang was supposedly kissing his thoub and the camera was not showing much.
3rd kiss (in the toilet, such a romantic setting... not!) I was giving a pass as Sailom was surprised at the beginning but I was hoping that he either stops it and demands some answers or get passionate but we got neither from him. Kang was doing the whole work and he was letting him (there was lips movement a few times and he - gasp! - grabbed Lang's shirt but there was no passion from him)... so basically it was closer to assault than proper kiss 😒
If the actors cannot deliver then they select the best that they can get...
Let's hope that next EP is going to show us aftermath (I am guessing by opening that there are going to be cheek kisses in the bleachers)

I binged EPs 1-6 and was finally satisfied with Tag. Seriously the older bro had serious case of brocon and it looked like he was dating Tag to keep tabs on his little brother (as they are besties). In return Tag got breadcrumbs here and there... The whole necklace would have been the last straw for me (who would see it beneath the clothes?). Good for Tag to finally decide not to be a doormat.

I think that's just default date (it's on most projects - on some for years). I checked their Twitter and they are below Q20, so I think we still need to wait for official date.

I think that the main issue is that the material (novel) was BL. The body main character "possessed" was bullied to death due to being gay (or accused of it, I am not sure). This makes being gay like the main plot point and removing it is like when Joseph Fiennes (white guy from UK) was playing Michael Jackson or Katharine Hepburn was playing Chinese woman, Jade. So basically "gaywashing".
I think that people are rightly upset about that - why use BL novel and remove BL? To paraphrase you: there are a lot of non-BL novels to adapt. They need attention from those, who are so opposed to BL.
Additionally I get added disappointment of the TV series oryginaly being BL (this is not the 1st BL this company produced) but they decided to change it due to pressure from main actor's fans (before that actor knew about the plot and was ok with it). You said each to their own and that should apply to the adaptation as well - if the actor cannot play the role because fans are so against it and nobody can say no to them then perhaps change of the actor would have solved the issue (or not - who knows with some "rabid" fans).
I am not saying to hate on people involved in the production but being unhappy with the whole situation is valid IMO.
