I read the novel - he clearly heard them (as the novel is written from his POV). In novel it is shown a bit differently and there are 2 separate instances of the lovers "meeting" - I think that the series kind of mushed them together. I am not advocating for Jom to lie - he did not tell the whole truth. Same with the servant - she lied (by exaggeration) and also did it out of malice (in novel it was more of jealousy that lead her to spy on Kaew). The truth is that nobody should be punished here as nothing actually happened (Kaew has younger sister - 11, I think - that would have been sent in her place if she escaped, so she was never going to do it).

I am quite sure he heard what they were talking about, so he could tell the truth that she was not planning to leave with him. I am not advocating for him to lie but not telling the whole truth is a choice that he made due to anger and not because he was shielding either of the women. Actually I don't think he even though about consequences for any of them (that is no excuse but I get it was in the heat of the moment) even though he lived in this time period long enough to be aware of them (beatings, being thrown out etc.).
I don't think that he is doing it on purpose (maybe subconsciously or maybe deluding himself). I think he might view Lee Jun as unobtainable and hence safe for him to love since it would not be reciprocated. I think he feels protective of him like of little brother (who is innocent and clueless) and that's acceptable love for him. With Simeon is like you said: he is super flirty, so perhaps he doesn't see his relationship with Simeon to end well (like he prefers to have any kind of relationship with Simeon then none if they - in his mind - inevitably break up). On the other hand he is avoiding calls and meeting Simeon because Simeon is irresistible for him, so he is afraid what could happen. That's just my theory - I hope we get it all resolved/explained in a few hours (I would also like to know what exactly happened with Lee Jun to leave idol business).
Simeon and "Hyung" (ex-manager). For me it's clear that there I something between them. Simeon is flirty with him in a different way [then he is with Lee Jun] - he is more sincere, like he is showing his true self. When "Hyung" was asked in ep6 "since when he likes him" (Choi Jun meant Lee Jun, of course), he answered "about 4 years? 5?" (he was Simeon's manager for about 5 years, so it would fit timeline better than him being in love in Lee Jun). I think "Hyung" is using Lee Jun as as shied/excuse not to start relationship with Simeon (perhaps he was concerned about their work relationship or status or destroying Simeon's career if it ever got our that they are together...).

He might not have known but what was he expecting? That there are not going to be any repercussions? Him not thinking ahead is not an excuse for adult. Smal children know that there are consequences of their actions. I get that he was in highly emotional state and was not thinking rationally but does that absolve him from responsibility (I am not advocating for him to lie just that he could have painted a different picture - perhaps say that the guy was pestering her... because he was)? If the kids play with ball and accidentally break the window what should happen? Nothing since they did not intend to break the window? At least they (and Jom in this case) should feel guilty.
Yes, we don't know either way, so it's not fair to assume the worst of Kaew. On the other hand we can of Ohm and this is what I am trying to convey - Jom's feelings were misplaced. In the novel he even later checked up on Kaew to let Ohm know that she was fine (and pregnant). He was helping the guy who cheated on him! 🤦♀️ I had the same issue with "Love Syndrome": Itt suggested Gear to do something to Night. Gear did it out of his own free will. Who was punished by Night's bro, Day? Itt. Only him. If you want to punish somebody then it should be the perpetrator!
That's actually exactly what he thought in novel. In the novel Kaew also did not blame him but he felt so guilty…
Is karma fair? Is it always happening? There are a lot of bad people who never get punishment and a lot of good people who never catch a break. Let me play devil's advocate for Ohm: he was abroad for 4 years (I don't think that they met during that time in person). It's hard to maintain long-distance relationship. People grow apart. It's Okey for the feelings to disappear - perhaps Ohm was no longer in love in Jom before he met Kaew. In all that what is not ok is Ohm using lame excuse of saying it face to face when he was cheating for half a year. He should have either told Jom over the phone that he fell our of love with him or should have been waiting to return to Thailand to tell Jom face to face before starting relationship with Keaw.
For you it's future bad luck but the characters here are not going trough live/reincarnations in the same time line, so what for ones is fire is for others past.
Well, It's a grey area I think. Technically what he did is not wrong. He just told the truth. If he lied, the…
I agree that Jom might have not expected her r*pe. But what was he expecting for her to happen? In the novel he got accused of helping Kaew and Ohm escape and that would have gotten him severe bearings. He knew more or less the punishments that were given, so he should expect severe punishment for her cheating. I have problem with revenge when it ricochets on other people. It's like the "logic" of children paying for their parents mistakes (ostracism towards bastards but not both of their parents). If Kaew knew nothing of Jom and Ohm's relationship (quite possible since they met abroad 6months earlier), then it's not her fault. Additionally Kaew tried to get rid of Ohm - she was telling him to forget her. Why didn't Jom told about that? Had he did that perhaps he could lessen her "punishment".

I haven't finished the novel yet but so far it's not clear if she knew (Jom went to the airport to pick up Ohm and Ohm was not expecting him there - he was panicking and telling him that they were supposed to meet next day at the hotel, so it's possible that he was hiding Jom's existence from her). They met about 6months before start of the novel (and Ohm was 4 years abroad - not 2 like in the TV show) and she was already pregnant (not visibly pregnant because they had to state it), so their affair went quite fast. In my opinion the person who is cheating on their partner is more responsible than the affair partner and what happened to her was r*pe - how is that just punishment?
I sincerely hope all the haters who claim they are dropping the show will do so and stop commenting here. 90%…
Considering how close butler Sorn was with eldest bro - perhaps they are already couple? And butler Sin (not Luv but the oryginal) is "destined" for the youngest bro? This might be one of rules of the house: from butler to lover 😋 I am enjoying it most of the time (the worst for me is when they do the inner monologue and do it for more than 1 person, so it's hard to tell who is thinking what).
I think it's an overlap of internal dialogue and external speaking, but they don't distinguish between the two…
In my country we have not only subtitles or dubbing but a lector as an option of translation (quite popular, actually). When it's lector you get the oryginał voices (and language ) in the background and lector is reading dialogue more or less in the same way as it's dubbed here. Still it's Hella confusing when several of them "thinks" and now you should gues who is thinking what...
I'm mostly fine with the dubbing, but it's the constant overlap of internal and external dialogue from every character…
For me the worst is that it's the same voice, so when they "show" thoughts of several people it's sometimes hard to gues who was thinking what. Sometimes the "dubber" doesn't have enoght time to fit thoughs and dialogue 🤦♀️
I love Lee and Frank but why they always end up with bad BL series???? I don't understand why!!!! Their previous…
To your point about "Love Syndrome" - it's based on the novel and quite "faithful" to it so we can put the blame in the author. I liked that series (they could have removed big portions of whining Itt and it would have made it better but then again - he is the same in the novel...). When it comes to this series - it might be just it being more directed to Thai watchers as it's apparently made in some kind of comedic style that is common (?) there 🤷♀️
Ok, once you get past the dubbing, the series is good. I`m enjoying their rom-com a lot. Frank&Lee are freaking…
Yes and no to the rom-com. I get the feeling that Frank is not interested in anybody (I think that his cousin was hitting on him in ep1, in ep2 youngest bro was way to friendly and Lee was coming on to hard on him - Frank reaction was more or less clueless/oblivious to all of that).
This is not the voice of Lee Long Shi that I know from others dramas. I think the voice is done by someone else.…
As far as I know the same voice actor is dubbing all of them (apparently it's due to this style of comedy, so do not ask my why because I do not know - it's just their way).
Well, It's a grey area I think. Technically what he did is not wrong. He just told the truth. If he lied, the…
I think what is questionable here is his reasoning - he didn't do it just because he wanted to tell the truth. He wanted revenge on her for taking his man in another lifetime (flashbacks in EP and in novel he thinks so). He also did not consider the consequences for anybody involved here but once he understood what happened to her he was feeling quite guilty.
I seriously love this drama.I just don't like how jom told on kaew because of his hurt in the future with ohm.It…
That's actually exactly what he thought in novel. In the novel Kaew also did not blame him but he felt so guilty that he offered to help her if she ever needed anything and when she came to "cash in" (wanted him to help her break up with her lover) he gets in hot water (he is accused of being their lookout while they were planing to escape... which was not true but all due to stupid Kaew not just letting Jom do the breaking up but just had to go there and observe 🤦♀️).
I get the dubbing now, its the narrator telling this story in a play by play
But they show thoughts of other people as well... And I must say I sometimes was not sure whose they were (like in the scene where he was boxing next to the pool - both ML and MC were "thinking" so I am not sure who was "thinking" when MC was turning his back). I will add that to my complaints that ML's "hitting on" MC is weirder when MC is clearly not interested... in anybody (be it ML, cousin or ML's brother). Is the butter sabotaging MC (eldest bro is sus after this ep)? It seems like he knows almost no rules of the house and the butler was teaching him for like only 2 days 🤔 (since the day MC came to the mansion till butler's planed departure). All in all I am not giving up on this series 😉
Spoiler from the novel: Diao was 7 and he was in Yi's (14 years old) house. They had pumas (or were those panther?)…
Well most of what I wrote we learn in them reminiscing about the past trough out the novel. I haven't watched 1st EP yet as I want to have more or simply binge but it should still be ok with timeline since the novel starts years after Nuea and Liam's wedding. In Cutie Pie they were still in uni but in this one it's mentioned how Diao finished uni with honours (in contrast to his step-sibling who were basically a waste). The one series that I worried about timeline is Middleman's Love, as chronologically novel is before Bed Friends. Our MC (Jed) is convinced that ML (Mai) is hitting on his single friend (Uea) and hence tries to help them get together (in his mind only), so I am wondering how they are going to proceed here since most of the novel is Jed being clueless/oblivious.
