Absolute power corrupts absolutely, with that comes the pain and sorrow. I truly enjoy every character portrayal, be it the weak and the strong. Don't we see similarities in present day life in regard to personal agenda, perhaps no less vicious by way of inner thoughts, save the infliction of bodily harm deterred largely by constitutional law and order? The strong bond between Hai Lan and Ruyi is heartening, clever manipulation (sans the negative) and advice of Empress Dowager is inspiring, steadfast silent respect and love of guard Lin thugs the heartstring.
A truly enjoyable 87 episodes.

Me too.. I'd thought of sending this to drama orphanage.. but oh gosh.. after epi 33 ...the pace picked up!

Why did script kill off Little 7, they never follow novel plot towards the end, so why sacrifice the little darling???

Up to epi 62 I'm absolutely disappointed how the drama script differs from novel. All of sudden, pace is fast forward with much storytelling. 4 more to go! Thank goodness actors are good looking .

Exactly. Poor ZBY character has got weaker with YLZ by him. The character is supposed to be tough as nails, valiant and a great leader to his men. The line he said to FY upon her rescue at Yao City gate is his true macho character..it goes something like "Woman...." He only have patience for FY and no other.
ZY is just not a poison tongue doctor but a dark avenger by night. He doesn't deserve a soppy love.

Waiting to see how the story is written when Fei Tian is revived., who will he obsess over? Or just kill him off quick as there's not enough time in the drama.

Same thoughts here. ZBY liking ZZ out of gratitude doesn't ring romance and passion at all. ZY/QY pairing is weak, no chemistry. Scriptwriter feels everyone should have a happy pairing end. I very much prefer the novel ending of ZBY, ZY & YH all living the remaining years missing FY as their only love.

Hiaz..why did drama change ZBY master coaching YLZ ? Him coaching FY is hilarious being the bad ass she is. Hopely the script is such that he is the one to restore YLZ sight

The FY killing spree is one big emotional upheaval for her and I'm looking forward to Yang Mi acting out the scenario.
