But the episode seems to be really leaning towards it and I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for it since this is an adaptation. Gmmtv may have changed a lot. It's great when the rating goes up slowly since it means the show is consistently becoming better, unlike most series which jump ratings. Even Light on Me had a steady rise

I know they will explain the ending and the mystery behind the executors in the second season, I hope it will be good. But even without second season, Season 1 was good enough. The ending was so exciting and intriguing, it felt like I was witnessing birth, rebirth from death. People who have been a while cycle. 9.0/10

Why has Sweet Home been listed as a recommendation? Just because two Netflix Korean series have blood in them, it doesn't mean they are similar.

Hellbound was a sociopolitical commentary, Sweet Home was a horror with hot Song Kang moments, so not similar.

Hellbound was about a god's event which wasn't a god's event at all. It is true that the angels and executors look "funny" but it is not their looks that matter. It is the power they hold. The power to judge, to interfere, to incinerate. The power to control.

Hellbound was about an organisation that interprets god's will, but it doesn't do so at all. It is hands in glove with the Arrowhead, a criminal gang. And in a way, both The New Truth and The Arrowhead enforce their opinions on people in different ways.

Hellbound was about the punishment of sins but not at all, because the true criminals went unpunished. Refer back to the first point, the executors aren't a god's event.

Hellbound was an allegorical brilliance, in simple language, it was full of metaphors. Unlike Animal Farm, Hellbound isn't easy to understand. Because to understand Hellbound, some would have to question the fact that all their lives they have followed religious interpretations from various sorts of religious leaders. Religious leaders who are like The New Truth, crime organisations with a face, above the law, above the government. Religion which actually is in control of you. Religion, a decree, which determines what your sins are. And you let it control you, you let your god be interpreted by someone else.

I was sixteen when I read Animal Farm, one of my favorites now. I didn't understand much of it in terms of the Russian Revolution. I didn't have much knowledge of world history because I didn't care to learn it. And when I read Animal Farm, I couldn't understand all the metaphors which had been so beautifully sewn together. I had understood the basic point of the story but there was a lot left to understand.

I think, in order to rate a series, the most important factor is to understand it. Of course, after understanding it, you may not like what it teaches you. So in my spoilered comment, I am trying to explain what this was about. I hope it helps you.

I couldn't even write the review properly. Suicide is actually a very personal and triggering topic for me, I didn't know the director Hu Bo's backstory while watching the movie but the sadness is so palpable. If you do watch the movie, I would love to know what you thought about the elephant. I tried reading online reviews, but everyone was concentrating on the story, and not the elephant. I wonder what he was thinking when he made this movie

While everybody is debating whether this is bl, I'm having an internal crisis because I haven't watched the Japanese original and can't anticipate any twists and turns the story will have >-<

Anyway, let's test how good my prediction skills are ^^ I'll watch the original after Baker Boys airs

It's a happy ending in my opinion :) there was justice
