How did she manage to keep her mom's body in good condition for two months? Thats my only confusion. Her neighbor…
This is a really awesome question. Even around 2-3 weeks after death maggots and bacteria infest the body and there is hair loss. Even just a month would have that effect. So unless there was a freezer involved... where did she hide the body anyway, when Sawaki visited the apartment with her it didn't seem as if the body was in the apartment. The police may have searched there too. Quite a loophole you've spotted.
If you're thinking of avoiding Garasu no Ashi because of child abuse then I'd advise looking into this once again. Yes there is heinous domestic violence in Garasu no Ashi, I had no idea bruises could look like that, but the way the characters emerge strong, as tall as reeds which sway in the gust, reeds of glass—it was worth the watch.
I gave it a 9.0/10. It felt so authentic and warm, as if I were seeing genuine people on screen, maybe I was because hikikomori is a real disorder of social withdrawal. A beautiful series from start to finish.
5.5/10 Very Liar Game-ish. Creepy dummy. A game of betrayal. Debts. Money. Considering that both the manga and the drama were released much after Liar Game, this might be the case.
And its not just the premise, even the dialogues like the popular, "we will use any means necessary," were the same.
Nevertheless there were some plotholes and the story was quite weak. This was a pre-film release so it should lay a proper background so the films might be better.
Enjiya is an unassumingly humorous tale of revenge poking at the depravity of human nature—at how humans deliberately choose evil time and again. Do humans really change?
The very absurdity of the existence of Enjiya and the bewildering nature of the occupation adds some morbid humor to the darker subtext of the plot. The romance was subtle but it was there. Also, the found family trope is at its best here. A family that plays (or exacts vengeance) together, stays together. ;)
I guess I have to watch this on one of my dumb days 😂, I pretty much dropped it after 2 episodes and now I have to trudge though it somehow because NO Dropping :') Jimmy's acting really is very flat
The problem isn't slow pace, I am currently watching Karamazov no Kyodai which isn't very slow but its not as fast either. These are the problems with Bite me: 1. Noticeable pauses between sentences, especially when Aek speaks.
2. Long moments of Aue and Aek exchanging soulmate gazes.
3. The story is progressing slowly too; the point of the story was Aue falling for Aek discovering his passion and winning the competition (with a side service of girlfriend trouble I believe?) In 4 episodes, not enough ground has been covered.
4. Lastly, incredibly and actually slow. No, seriously. Bite me feels like a show which was shot at a natural pace and someone reduced the speed to 0.5 to increase the number of episodes.
Kurosawa Bunzo is an abominable asshole but I have nothing but admiration for Yoshida Kotaro. Amazing actor, I love how he can pull off such a wide variety of roles.
Thanks for this. I love how nobody talks about the rape aspect here. If Rui hadn't stopped those guys and they had carried on with it, I wonder if this show would be as popular as it is.
I just love how Makino goes around punching people in slow motion but at the one moment when her fighting skills would truly have been important, she just stands there. 4.5/10 for HYD.
I don't know why I keep torturing myself with watching the different adaptations of the series, but I was curious…
I forced myself to finish this one because I don't drop series unless they're too long, and I came to the same conclusion. The side characters were some of the best here and the F4 friendship was strong. Otherwise this one was quite, "trash" as you call it 😂
I have not watched the anime, neither have I read the manga but this drama was awesome to watch. There were no filler episodes, nothing slow. The ending was good too. 8.0/10 on my rating scale
I am glad I watched this despite the discouraging reviews at the top. I gave it a 8.0 and wrote this review because I feel there are some aspects to Ishi no Mayu which weren’t mentioned here at all https://kisskh.at/profile/Nada_SouSou/reviews/166541
The episodes are available legally on TaiwanPlus youtube. The production is so wonderful that I feel bad watching it for free. Awesome skull collections btw but it isn't nearly as gruesome as I thought it would be
I am removing this from my watchlist. I am very particular about maintaining my graph and honestly its not the wait that I am pissed about but I am pissed about what I get at the end of it. Not worth it. I would rate it a 3.5 but I can't mark this as complete so...
I am also watching a gl production, Legend of Yunze, which is taking time to get released too but at least it is delivering on the drama. Its a small production too but its a simple story.
Just a heads up, don't unnecessarily complicate your story and make it drag out for no reason.

8.0/10. This needs a second season.
