Most of people like Tae kyung and Shin Woo end up together, But what about Da On who's have been so nice to everyone…
I am currently working on a fanfiction where Daon changes from a people pleaser to a Taekyung pleaser because they fall in love and Daon realizes that when he's nice to everybody it can hurt TK so yeah, Da On and TK shippers have me with them
First of all, if he was homophobic in the first place, he could still work in a bl because working in bl productions is a very easy way to fame. Why? Because of the lesser production of bl. Even actors in small bl productions have gained came after which they similarly bad mouthed the bl industry and joined straight productions. (Note: I am not talking about actors who work in heterosexual series after working in bl, I'm talking about actors who do so after negatively speaking about bl)
Moving on, this is one of the only reasons why I have a shred of supportive feelings for Mean. He doesn't say why he said what he said, so it could as easily be sexual harassment as it could be his personal hatred for the work.
Now here's the thing, I've always felt there was some problem with the managers of love by chance. Not only did they cause the racket due to which Saint didn't join the production lbc 2 but all three of them: Meal, Plan and Perth left the industry after lbc. Their bl productions were only done with each other (2wish, reminders, etc) but otherwise they renounced work in any series.
Was it sexual harassment? Maybe. Bad treatment? Equally likely. But neither Mean not any of them spoke about it. Unlike Mean, the others didn't leave such a vicious comment.
So yes, it is natural that people call him homophobic. Regardless of what problems he did or didn't face, homophobia was certainly a factor. Even if it was abuse, the comment itself was bad and now he's returning to the same industry which is why people are questioning his integrity. Working as an actor or an idol will come with such stigma, especially when the celebrity makes such borderline homophobic comments.
Last point, the problems in the bl industry are same as that in the straight industry. Fans, shipping, hatred, sexual harassment is all part of the industry.
I have written a pretty long comment but this isn't my point of view, these are facts. I don't intend to support or berate Mean Phiravich. Do what you will with this information. Oh and I might not reply if you @ me. Feel free to support him or not. I personally am going to watch those series because I don't care enough about Mean or his personal opinions. As long as the series is good with a sound storyline and acting, I don't care about the cast and crew much but I can't say the same for others.
Off note maybe but the description of this list is really cool, I mean when people start comparing a rom-com to a psychological thriller with a bit of romance, it's so ridiculous. Or when every show is compared to ITSAY. Rom coms should be judged on what they're meant to be.
Kudos to that lady in episode 5 who just let a divorce and gay get together happen right across from here and continued eating right through it ;) I love the original but the HK version isn't far behind
I'm actually finding it hard to believe that Mean directed this but if he did, then props to him. It's a known fact that many homophobic cast and crew work in the production of lgbt+ series so I'll just overlook Mean and concentrate on the series.
It's giving me beautiful itsay vibes and Fah looks so pretty omg TT
The bl industry is definitely not clean and pure, well *newsflash*, neither is the 'straight industry' ;) He may not like what's happening in the bl industry but that's the acting and idol industry in general. his comment is particularly vindictive against acting gay and therefore in extension, against gay men. That is enough ground to judge him as homophobic in my opinion.
If you play the game, there too it's often stated by them that the student council thing is ridiculous XDApart…
I personally don't think the council is completely pointless (it's where the gayness happens after all ;) but that's what they themselves say in the game anyway XD And yeah, Yushin can be seen in Shiwon because he called the police and there's the similar crackhead nature too but I felt he's written as a love interest for Sohee Jaerim would be difficult to depict on screen too
How can I like such a simple show so much? Oh, I know, because all of the actors are adorable and very good at…
If you play the game, there too it's often stated by them that the student council thing is ridiculous XD Apart from Shin woo and Da on, there's a useless dude Yushin and a guy who talks only via text, Jaerim. The student council is pretty much useless except during school fests and stuff (I hope they do that in the series, if so, we'll get to see Tae kyung in a really cool costume ;)
Okay so I'll start of by saying that I have watched none of these dramas but you are definitely one of the bravest people I've seen around here because these three are apparently some top notch dramas according to the kdrama community I enjoyed reading your points a lot You could do an article on dramas which do it right too, good recommendations are always appreciated around here :)
Later on Noh does demonstrate acting ability including some fairly strong and subtle expressions of emotion, so…
Yop, that's why I said that Bbomb kissed Jin when he wasn't drunk. Like in together with me they ended up having drunk sex and it's okay because they were both completely out of their fucking minds, but here Bbomb was sober :/ Your comment makes me all the more glad that I dropped it
