Pride! It was one of my very first J-dramas, fell in love with it and the soundtrack from Queen was an added bonus. I even bought the DVD box set through ebay, still have it after all these years.
It was nice seeing my pic under the ones I contributed to. This small but at the same time big gesture from MDL made me smile wide this morning, thanks :) :)
I LOVED Splash Splash Love and Go Ho's starry night (which I'm rewatching again). Other minis worth mentioning were Little Girl K, You drive me crazy, Between Friendship and Love, The Boy Next Door (hilarious!!!), Wednesday 3:30 PM AND Drama Special Season 7: My Happy Home.
I drop A LOT! If I find myself skipping scenes or pausing a lot to do something else or browse other sites, it's time to say bye bye. It can be a drama with my fave actor/genre or I've seen more than half the series, and I will still drop it and never have I felt bad about it. I've watched 281 dramas and dropped 161.
It's the same with US series, I can watch 7 seasons easy and then drop them if the story becomes repetitive, and never look back.
Yeah, I watched these too. Actually, I wondered if I should put them on the list, but I wanted something more…
Hehe the ones you mentioned are hardly underrated, AND an article about the classics would be wonderful, I started about 8 years ago or so and those were THE dramas . Example (without me being biased) Lovers in Paris, Lovers in Prague, My love Patzzi, Save the last dance for me, Attic cat, Lovers, Summer scent, My girl, My lovely Sam Soon etc.
I've watched A love to kill and Biscuit teacher and star candy, and couldn't get into Delightful girl, Choon Hyang. Classic oldies with boxes of tissues needed would be Winter Sonata, Stairway to heaven, Tree of heaven, Autumn Tale, was a sucker for them. Park Shin Hye was so young in Stairway to heaven and Tree of heaven, couldn't even remember her when I saw her as a grown up.
I even bought some of them with really crappy English subs because I just had to have them! LOL I still got them in their boxes, Meteor Garden both seasons, Devil beside you, Why why love, Tokyo Juliet, MARS, Silence. I had to go check the ratings, with some mentioned I was pretty harsh as I rated them when I joined MDL and not in those days, but some are still a good rating.
MARS though remains my all time fave with a 10 rating, was on a Vic Zhou binge watching after watching Meteor Garden.
And let's not forget the Ming Dao phase like Prince turns to frog, Magicians of love, yikes all cringe worthy now haha.
food titles - Gloomy salad days (well I'd be gloomy eating salads every day too) and Kimcheed radish cubes. And there's Mysterious incredible terminator, don't know why the terminator or I slept thru it.
well the Heavy Sweetness Ash like Frost IS being made into a drama it seems, read it today "Yang Zi is officially confirmed for Heavy Sweetness Ash-like Frost (香蜜沉沉烬如霜). Now the male lead role is up for contention!" and am curious about it and it's on a page here too http://mydramalist.com/23281-heavy-sweetness-ash-like-frost
Had to post a second comment about this spoiler because what the what what. The ending! I mean, of all the ways…
I just finished the movie and didn't expect that ending, so I searched her in history to see if she really died like that. Yes she was strangled, but not like that, the emperor told the eunuch to take her to a temple and he was the one to strangle her. Still a bad ending for her, she was 37yrs old.
