A striking example of whitewashing one's own history by denigrating a foreign country. Kidding. Koreans don't make historical series, only fantasy. As many have already said, the plot is childish. It's incredibly stupid, not funny and ridiculous. The scriptwriter is definitely a fan of the anime "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma". . The actors are overacting. But that's normal, the "comedy" genre requires it. Interesting trend. Koreans act like they do in anime and overact, and fans only praise them. They don't see any contradiction. . . Well, if you want to watch something light, funny and not stressful, this series is for you.
This drama will appeal only to die-hard fans of Korean content. Only they are ready to eat everything that Korea serves. . It's blatantly absurd that they decided to apply Korean cliches to Arab culture. The plot and idea had so much potential, but the result was yet another cliched series about a mythical man who fall in love with woman. How many such series have Koreans released? And they are all literally written according to the same template. Even the isekai is much more varied. . . Even though I like the actor, it's so crazy that Genie from Arabic myth is played by a Korean. It would be much more logical and interesting to invite, for example, an Arab actor. But the other problem is the screenwriter. He's only capable of writing about Korea, while also copy his colleagues. I won't even mention that, as in all similar Korean dramas, the immortal eternal being is not befitting his age and status. . . Then why bother writing a script with elements of a foreign culture that you don't understand? The team behind this series is like Hollywood.
