I agree it has its flaws but I think they did a decent job adding a bit of depth compared to other BLs. It probably would have worked better if they had more episodes to work with, though.
Also, I think Sanada being smaller than him was just a bad casting decision. It would have made sense if they cast someone bigger. And Sanada's actor is only 42, hardly an old man, but he does seem a lot older.

Did we watch the same series? The leads had good chemistry and the plot touched on important serious topics. I would have liked to see some points touched on a bit more, but it was decent for an 8-episode drama.

I agree, I enjoyed this. Not everything has to be fluff or NC scenes.

Worth watching for the songs and not much else.
