If anyone here has read the webtoon, could please tell me if Han Tae Oh ends up with Hiu Jiu or Hye Won?
Disney asked leading webtoon artist to draw their versions of the movie posters, and I think the actors reenacted the scenarios. I remember seeing a clip, where they laughed, trying to copy the exaggerated postures of the drawings.

Coming here with my extremely farfetched theories. I am enjoying this drama so much especilly becaue of the way…
RE: #2 It looked like In-Ha’s mom slit her wrist and that’s how In-Ha found her. The blood soaked his socks. It didn’t appear to be a “hit” by Kang group, and there was a disclaimer at beginning of episode of depiction of suicide.

My theory is that Tae Ho always feared the retribution of the step-dad for framing him for the murder of his mom, who was alive and in hiding. He needed the influence of a powerful conglomerate or backer to escape consequences of the confrontation. He doesn’t know if he will end up killing the step-dad to survive, but it looks like he’s preparing for a serious crises. Hence the focus on bringing others to power, and the cryptic request for a future favor when he had a serious crises. Very long term planning, but explains his motivation.

Though there are plot holes, I am enjoying the corporate and family maneuvers to retain or acquire power, including Tae Ho’s master plan.

I know there is less possibility for them to end up together. I still like their chemistry. I couldn't understand…
He was listening to his mom’s favorite song, I believe, as seen and explained in Episode 1. It was worn out on cassette tape.

Hmm noir genre Ljw always wanted this kind of role 👀👀https://twitter.com/leejaewookrec/status/1615957864300052483?s=46&t=J1hBWHUZdvEWEcgt4QpiMA
Thank you for the link! It’s interesting to confirm that this drama had always planned the change of tone in Part 2, and that as it said in plot description, it was a coming of age story.

Viewers keep saying Part 2 had more chemistry between Naksu/UK. Well sure, because they focused and had LOTS of…
She said “No” in last episode. Uk tried to get her to train again. She’s a divine priestess with lots of clout and power. He’s her sword. Why be redundant?

Why they changed the female lead?
Because that the way the writers wanted. LJW recently said that’s why he almost did not commit to the role, because it was a complex role, to change his characterization for Jang Uk from Part 1 to Part 2. The original FL was someone else, so MD and Cho-Yeong personas were always going to be 2 different people.

Will Naksu be the next leader of Jinyowon ?
Most likely. Cho Yeong resides in JBY s body. It sounds like Uk is ready to provide a daughter as next heir. Lore is a little fuzzy, but that’s what is implied.

Who's redoing this show with me?? I don't seem to get enough of something as perfect as this. Redoing 2 episodes…
I did already! It was better as a binge. I also kept respecting the writers more about the themes. Loopholes, yes, but they told the story they intended.

it' s just the writers not wanting to create some serious plot for naksu. if she returned to her old self they…
What a surprise! Respected experienced writers known for their witty rom-coms not meeting YOUR expectations for bloody revenge contrary to their story arc! The nerve!

My take? Part 2 was about all characters defining their moral characters. How do you define what is clearly right, without excuses or justification? And fighting for what is clearly right, instead of petty revenge or evil gain. Maidservant Kim was the best example of courage - she was scared, in the wrong place at the wrong time, but was willing to pay the price so evil would not escape into the world.

I was most profoundly moved when Naksu faced who she was, a soul shifter and assassin (a criminal in the worlds eyes) and sent Uk on his mission, when she could have selfishly kept him and let all the good people down. That conversation was the crux of Part 2. It was a clear delineation of of what is the right thing to do.

Go Wan: "Jang Uk. Have you really never dreamed of becoming the most powerful person in this world?"Jang Uk: "I…
He is simple in his desires, and direct. That’s what was so admirable. He didn’t worry about embarrassment, but said what true in his heart. It’s the first time CP truly understood. Uk never mocked him, it was his own insecurity.

I had no problem with the actress change because she was established in Season 1 as Naksu. I am surprised how…
Um. As said in Episode 30, Cho-Yeong achieved Chisu. Yul did too, even quicker than her. Park Jin and Heo also are that level. That’s why she lost to Park Jin at the beginning and had to use AoS. Jin Mu mentioned that he sent her against ParkmJin to get rid of her, since she would be overmatched. As an assassin, she struck not face to face, like the rest, but from behind and without warning. Only current Hwansu holders are Master Lee and Uk, which is the highest level of energy.

Part 2 was about defining what is the proper use of power. Over and over they emphasized when is it RIGHT to fight? With what purpose? That’s why Park Jin, Kim Do Ju and Mama Jin’s fight was so impactful. Each hero made a stand against evil.

Naksu sent Uk to his showdown, because it was absolutely right to fight evil Soul shifters and defeat evil. She faced her own erasure with the same steely grit - she was a tool of Jin Mu’s vengeance, and an assasin who killed innocent victims, and therefore must face the same punishment. Uk could not recognize her, because he would be forced to kill her himself. He gave her the choice for him to do nothing and stay with her, or act with vigor against the evil that was gathering.

AND Cho-Yeong has no desire to be a mage again and train. She said so. Why? She is more powerful and more influential now as JBY persona. She is counselor to her good chingus The King and Yul, who are in charge of Daeho and mage training.

Her journey in Part 2 was the extension of her desire to protect Uk, which was expressed in Part 1. She had renounced being Naksu in Episode 18. I think it was in Episode 19 when teased by Jul Wol, about how she had changed, when she said she had given up being assasin because she found someone to cherish and protect. Even with amnesia, she remembered the desire to protect him, and the Memory of the tree.
