This season was mediocre at best. Good chemistry, but for what? They couldn’t even get Somin to play Buyeon…
Actually, what did not make sense was BY in Part 1 being played by JSM. The girl did not have powers after finding the ice stone. She never was able to reach maturity as a Jin, until she used Naksu’s energy in Part 2. When she saved Uk from soulmshifting, it was creepy to have adult MD. Even in the ice stone in episode 18, only the child was needed to explain things. But it might have given away the ending plot twist, that the child was actually Jin Seol-Ran.

The purpose of different FL is to show Uk was consistent in who he loved. Despite the changing faces and names, they were destined for each other. Haha! I loved Master Lee, when he paused the wedding to ask, which name? You’ve had 4?

I agree that Part 1 could have been shorter and Part 2 could have been longer, but the richness of the set up and ensemble cast would have been lost.

We all see different things. Given where we were yesterday, I’m glad they brought home the HE.

It was tooooooo painful to watch Park Jin seeing Maidservant Kim to stay there. And see him trembling like that…
That scene and the firebird scene were where he really shined. It’s the power of these veteran actors. This show was blessed with such a great cast and a great script.

Wanted to give a shout out to actor do sang woo. Wasnt entirely sure why his character was written into the show…
It’s a testament to all the actors in the cast. I loved Sol-i’s only chingu turned out to be a strong mage candidate. And it looked like the Lady Heo’s maid turned out to have talent!

Jin Bu-Yeon did take control of the body fully but then after getting rid of the firebird to give Naksu full control…
Nope. That was their ending all along. Impatient fans were demanding their own versions. Hong Sisters are story tellers. They are not fan service.

This is one of silliest show I've ever watched. Three major deaths back to back in the most stupid manner. Park…
It’s called heroic. He focused on containing the egg. You talk like Jin Mu. Only winning and power counts. This drama was telling you why you fight is as important as the fight. Heroes do what’s right. But you are right…in real life morals can get you killed.

Because Buyeon is still in Cho Yeongs body therefore the divine powers will remain
Because it is her soul, but she got to keep By-Yeon’s body, with its divine powers. Part 2 was about B-Ys body regaining its powers from Naksu’s energy. She did regain her powers to fulfill her mission help Uk to kill the firebird. Since it was actually Seul-Ran’s soul that reanimated B-Ys body in vitro, Seol-Ran dissipated once her destiny was fulfilled, and RE awoke Cho-Yeong/Naksu’s soul. Cho-Yeong ascended back into consciousness. The heavens heard and rewarded Uk’s and Cho-Yeong’s marriage commitment to one another. It’s implied. Master Lee basically told us that when he arranged their wedding. He hoped to take action, and put the destined love into the universe to be heard.

Finally it's all over. The ending was great. They finally say the meaning behind the title of Light and Shadow.
And he called her a Ho-Yeong! I love Master Lee at the end, explaining the full meaning of their names and their purpose.

Because Buyeon is still in Cho Yeongs body therefore the divine powers will remain
No. Seol-Ran fulfilled her use of the body, and disappeared, letting Cho-Yeongs soul fulfill her marriage with Uk. The heavens heard their wedding commitment to each other.

Since part 1, I always believed it would be Cho-yeon and Dang-gu, but I really, really hoped for boy/girl twins.…
They get to try for more! That’s even more fun to imagine! And you called it -twins for the win. And they were Dang-Gus and Cho-Yeons! Yeah for everybody! We even finally got Dang-Gu wielding his arrows in battle.

And for me, they did finally come back to defining the 7 supporting stars to the Kings Star.

Shame on me for expecting the worst of the worst 😭😭. I am going to miss this series so much and thank you…
Yes, shame! But a lot of people did have that angst.

Don't know if its too early to ask this but since its a hit on Netflix, do we get a season 3?
No. Even if you do, not all this stellar can gather. It took the Hong Sister 3 years to write, and two years of production to get it to us. That’s a lot of years to wait. HS like fresh new stories.

Like Season 1 Absolutely Top Both Seasons are a 10/10. Story, Acting, Cast in Both Season was Absolut Great..…
I agree. Unlike a lot of recent dramas, they stuck the ending. They explained how we got there. And the ensemble cast was shown at the end too, with their happy lives.
