He’s honestly amazing and beautiful and I love him in real life too! He’s super similar to Seo Yul in a very…
He seems to be a real sweetie and very kind. It’s obvious how he looks after his juniors in the BTS and interviews.

Wanna take some moment to praise Hwang Min Hyun.the fellow alchemists who comment here since first part can remember…
Yes, he noticeably improved from Part 1 to Part 2. I did see and enjoyed his quiet performance later on and applaud the hard work he said he put in to improve during production. It showed. He mentioned too that he learned a lot from the others, and I think the Fab 4 have developed an important friendship, that has benefited them all.

I only learned he was an idol because of all the comments praising his looks or over exaggerating his acting skills at the time. But, i do know they cast idols for ratings, and Arin was cast for the same reason. I enjoyed her performance too!

Since it's pretty much confirmed that the show will give us either a sad or open ending, how many here still plan…
Regardless of the end result, I’ll watch it. I’m planning a binge rewatch of the entire series, and if there’s parts I’ll fast forward, there’s a lot of dialogue and comedy I’ll still savor. Every actors performance deserves applause. Even the minor characters added a rich performance to a very layered world.

Since I watched for LJWs performance and Jang UKs journey in Daeho, I’m not too disappointed. The existence of JBY, Naksu, MD enriched his life experience. The love and protection given by Park Jin, Kim Du Joo,, Sang Ho, and the 3 other seasons made Jang Uk the compassionate, loving, strong, and ultimately heroic Uk who he is. Naksu unflinchingly forced him to face life and harsh truths uncompromisingly. Both Park Jin and she made him focus on his course of action and determine if it’s clearly the right thing to do. That’s what I take from this drama.

I can’t believe the cancel culture. If it’s not what you want, you downgrade it. Even on Part1, people were afraid to try it because of initial downgrading, but I noticed people who came later who binged it, loved it, despite episode 20. Every viewer looks for a different experience and not all are alike.

I’ll get off my soapbox.

But what a twist. I really didnt see that coming. When JM soul shifter Seo Yoon O i love it. It was great idea!…
OMG! When he showed up in front of the king, I nearly died laughing! I thought the eyebrows were a thing too, since we’ve been talking about JjBYs disappearing and reappearing eyebrows.

nobody can find their way back from Gwido but apparently JM was able to
And stroll right in, after all that elaborate unlocking of the seal. Boy, that queen was sure obsessed with her body. Her vanity is what got her into a 10 year captivity. Didn’t she learn?

Naksu not finishing offJin Mu wouldnt have been a problem, if the bloody prison actually worked like it should.…
I’m a little peeved that everyone else petrified pretty quickly but he was still at it like a day later.

I think they skipped or cut some scenes because of fitting into just 10 episodes.. that's why the execution seems…
Yes, I agree. There’s been some choppy exposition with no explanation. Hopefully, some quick flashbacks will help. Hold on the finale!

The king and the queen are a joke. The prince would be a way better king.
That’s the point. The young mages are earning their right to become the new leaders. It’s in the original story description.

And when did Yul's uncle, aka JinMu had time to do a nice hair do before appearing infront of the king? šŸ¤¦šŸ˜‚
And the eyebrows! So funny that eyebrows are a thing in this drama!

Alchemy of Souls made me realize what terrible writers the Hong Sisters actually are.... they have been adding…
They survived ā€œBigā€:which I’ve never watched, but hear was a huge disappointment. Their forte is witty dialogue, which webtoon dramas cannot match, and clever scenes. Their problem is stringing it together coherently. I still enjoyed this, and did not have the expectations others had.

Who remembers the ending of Dodosolsollalasol? Same male lead. Haha! The last five minutes ending of that show…
I am so hoping that this doesn’t happen again. Poor LJW! Hours of fine acting undone by goofy writing. I was OK with death, as it looked like she led a happy life, still filled with loss. Or if he did not return the darn tea cup, so we knew he had intent to come back.

I am loving this šŸ˜‚ This is a writers' drama. Not viewers. If you know what i mean. If I wanted to see things…
What resonated with me, was Naksu’s unflinching assessment of herself. No excuses - she is an assassin and soul shifter. She did not back off from sending him on his clear and rightful mission to slay soul shifters to stay with her. The merciless master also did not let him off to finish his mission, to face she must either disappear from JBYs body or kill her himself.

She regained her moral compass - all her killings were not justified and she performed sorcery. No excuses. That’s the unflinching MD/Naksu from Part 1.

I see the goodbye, and don’t know what we will end. She can get pregnant while still in BYJs body, so still have a child with Uk or he will have JBY take out the ice stone so there is no more temptation to elders. JBY May allow Naksu to stay, once her mission is done. Naksu regained her memories,. Is JBY allowing the lingering of soul to say Goodbyr?
