I am so happy to hear his praises. So much has been taken up on the female leads, but their portrayal needed a strong male lead to anchor their performances. He nailed it.

I just thought it was funny! He was veeery quiet, then suddenly came out with his opinion. He uses the code “Blah, blah, blah” when he can’t process words anymore. It’s white noise!

I think Part 1 was the varied interesting set up of the world and mages, and the hilarious antics of Naksu adjusting her attitude from feared assassin to a weak body that just did not do what it was supposed to. “Cramp, cramp!” And we see UKs growth physically, but it reveals his true character to love and to protect.


Part 2 I seems more focused on Uk. It’s the conclusion of his destiny as the Kings Star, which was hidden to avoid civil war that would endanger the Go dynasty in Part 1. It is also the conclusion of his love story, which may be tied up with this destiny.

I await this weekend with bated breath!

My husband’s review:

He dropped AoS Part 1 twice. First time halfway through episode 1.
He tried again and made it through episode 2, Part 1.
Then he caught one of my RE-watches of Part 2.

He’s not wrong, since I’ve heard this from commenters in Part 1 and Part 2, but divorce may be imminent!

He managed both Master’s Sun and Hotel de Luna, and has re-watched MS many times for story and OST. I think ghost story of the day worked better for him.

He will be banished from the big TV for my 30 episode re watch next week. I used my iPad in dead of night to watch original runs. Grrr!

Yes, I think so too. But he seems destined to anchor big budget projects now. AoS had huge budget, and the next one seems to have a lot of money budgeted. What a responsibility for a 24 year old!

I was eager too, and he would have slayed in Dali and the Cocky Prince. Bui won’t be moving on from AoS, but will be eagerly awaiting his next projects.

Somebody posted the daisy field again, with Uk, JBY/Naksu/Cho-Yeong, and Master Lee.

Norse mythology says daisies represent - childbirth, motherhood and new beginnings
Flower description says it represents innocence and purity, which sounds like someone’s soul in Episode 6? When Master Lee almost killed MD as a soul shifter at Danhyanggok.

It looks like we will have more flashbacks to teen Naksu too, so maybe that’s when they will transitional to Cho-Yeong.

Did anybody figure out who the 7 supporting stars were to Uk, the King’s Star?
I got Yul, Dang-Gu, Cho-Yeon,Bu-Yeon, Park Jin, CP, and Miss Turtle or Sang-Ho.
