This show has more plot holes, lack of logic, and inconsisties than a sieve. They make things up as they go. BUT,…
If you like him, watch the Uncanny Counter for a lovely set of rock hard abs. I just realized the the restaurant lady is theThe cameo of the mom of the soul shifter in Episode 1
KINDA UNREALISTIC BUT NAKSU COMPLETELY DISAPPEARING BU YEON TAKE OVER ND SHE SOMEHOW ERASES UKS MEMORY OR ALTER…
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Cho-Yeon say to Bu-Yeon in Part 1, that the best divine priestesses could alter memories or something? I worried at the time, because I thought Mama Jin might do something, but didn’t see it manifest itself.
I'm starting to feel scared about the ending episodes for Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow. The Hong siblings…
Master’s Sun had 4 happy couples at the end - ML/FL, ML sister and brother-in-law with geriatric pregnancy, SML/SFL, and FL sister/blabber mouth security guard.
Buyeon's dark side could be observed in season 1 when she hid after bringing the ice stone back into the world.
OK. I’m still puzzled to your reply to my comment “Thrown overboard and amnesia.” With a rather aggressive comment about whether young Bu-Yeon sounds ignorant or innocent? I don’t think I entered any discussion about that. I may have replied to a different thread though, since my comment seems out of place here. 😝😝
I’m curious. What is GYJ listed as Jin Bu-Yeon only in Asianwiki, and here as Naksu/Cho-Yeong/Jin Bu-Yeon. Has…
All of this is great discussion, but my main question was why were the character names different in two different drama sites? What is the character in TvN site? Just curious, because I wondered if it would give insight to the finale?
We have not heard Cho-Yeongs name yet, and I really wanted that to tie into the Part 2 title. So far, GYJ is referred to as Naksu or Jin Bu-Yeon, so wanted to know why the drama sites differed in her characters names?
I’m curious. What is GYJ listed as Jin Bu-Yeon only in Asianwiki, and here as Naksu/Cho-Yeong/Jin Bu-Yeon. Has there ever been any other drama with that discrepancy?
The actors did explain the Cho-Yeong name and Uk name in relation to the title, so the reveal is still to come?
There were theories in Part 1, that Bu-Yeong and Cho-Yeong switched souls early, which didn’t seem to be supported at the time, but I wonder now?
Just a question. I actually believe that JBY soul will remain in JBYs body, because it looks like they need those divine powers. But emotionally, don’t know where that leaves the Uk/Naksu love story. I can even support a JBY/Uk pairing, if it makes sense. Oh well, the coffee has not kicked in, so I’m rambling.
One reason I don't enjoy season 2 as much is that S2 Naksu has no agency. She has no powers, no knowledge or memories,…
Honestly, I did not see Part 1 that way. Yes MD schemed, but used Uk. It was her coming to terms of what she could do in a weak body. She had disdain for her looks, her status and her abilities. Uk helped her understand her grand schemes failed a lot, because she was not dealing with who she now is, rather than who she was. The servants competition was the turning point for her. She wanted the cheat code to get into Songrim. At first, it was beneath her to be a servant to get in. She wanted to scheme her way in, as usual. What was powerful was her realization she had to do whatever was within her current power to get in. It was the first time she made the move towards Uk. That second wind in the race was the true realization she was not doing all she could do to accomplish her goals.
She then reverted once she was in and realized her weakness in loving Uk. The most powerful scene was when she dropped her sword in Episode 18 and admitted her love, just before the kiss.
To be happy, she had to accept being powerless, so she would not go wild. Before, her goal was to acquire the ice stone to get back her power. The only time she was physically bad-a$$ was in episode 1. Yet that captured the imagination.
I think most Hong Sisters FL grow strong mentally and overcome hardships through that strength of acceptance of who you are and what you can accomplish with what you have. In MS and The Greatest Love, the FL leads started at the bottom, but at the end, were successful, powerful women. They did it without the ML, and came back to them as equals.
Yeah, in regards to recognizing Naksu, it irks me how stupid they made JangUk this season. Hong Sisters are trolling…
Yes, even Jin Mu stood down from his conviction she was Naksu. How can Uk, whose never seen Naksu, even guess after 3 years of non-communication, that she is alive? He just thinks he’s going crazy because of BY. She thought it was her priestess powers accessing the Blue Jade, not her own memories.
And yeah, I don’t get why people want to throw Bu-Yeon out of her own body.

Thank you for the lively discussion though!

That’s just my take on this whole drama.
