This is my 2 cents worth. Where others see useless fillers and side characters, I see the development of the stakes that Uk will fight for. As CP said, he does not covet power, but will fight to protect those he loves. Each episode has shown us each tie and how precious it is. Park Jin, Kim Do Ju, Yul, Dang-Gu, Jin Bu-Yeon.

Without knowing the stakes, any decision to confront the royal family is wrong. However, a grown up Uk, now weighs the consequences. He is not afraid to use sorcery, either , if it means protecting those he loves.

Episode 8 reveals the heartbreaking decision Uk may face. Naksu or Bu-Yeon. Stakes are high.

We will have a slam bang finale, I think.

I want more screen time for LJW and GYJ. They are such a great acting partnership! And LJW deserves every accolade he can get! This was a bravura performance, and I’m afraid because he is so young, they will not realize his worthiness of highest awards.
