Lost potential of storytelling. I do enjoy this season, however, it is clear to me... good drama needs to be made…
Just a note. Hong Sisters intended this as it stands. Since Part 2 started filming in early July, while Part 1 was airing, and the director already stated during the Press Con in June, that it became a 30 episode drama, because he could not squeeze the story into 20 episodes, this was not a money grab.
There is no way that they could have reassembled such a large cast to do Part 2 unless it was already planned. Since JSM was a last minute replacement, she did her part in Part 1 and moved on to her other commitments. GYJ had to film AoS around her other projects last year. LJW literally ended up committing 2 years to this project, since it originally was supposed to air December 2021.
In the preview, when JBY says something like I liked you the first time I saw you, my husband, Uk looked uneasy. Then as I slept, her expression when she said it reminded me of the loving look JBY had (played by JSM) when she saved him from AoS in episode 7. Just wondering. His expression was another of those when she recalls things they shared.
That look has puzzled us all, and I’m wondering if the Hong Sisters are finally leading us to that explanation. Feel free to shoot me down. It’s just an observation, that might be disproved today.
Come to think of it, now I remember in an interview LJY and GYJ said there was a scene where they were both very…
Yes, I think so too. he has a short period to say goodbye to Naksu. AND that scene will be killer. Uk realizing there really no place for Naksu in this lifetime. She cannot keep using other bodies, and she has a lot of sins to atone for. Jin Mu must pay!
But then he came back for her. He doesn't want to freeze to death alone.
Yes, I agree. He had the choice and was going crazy. And I LOVE how he confesses each and every time. He is so raw and sincere. And he leaves the final choice to her, after he lays it all out. 😍😍 I love this character!
Jin Mu knew about gold plaque and Constellation plate because he was assistant to Jang Kang. Jang Kang had to…
It was hidden. I forgot which episode, but when Songrim was searching Cheonbugwan Jin Mu taunted Park Jin with the real plate. It was supposed to be destroyed by Cho Chung, but he was soul shifted by Jin Mu and went wild. That’s probably when Jin Mu retrieved it. He was working against Jang Kang from the time he learned AoS. Then Jin Mu took the daughter Cho-Yeong and turned her into Naksu in a twisted scheme.
“your useless brazier burnt itself out to leave nothing but ashes. I will disperse in the wind, and you can just freeze to death alone.” Can that describe Naksu (burnt corpse), to be dispersed to the wind (pushed out by BY?)

I love Kim Do Ju. She really is taking charge of his manners and love life!
And the chestnut advice has legs…maybe a hint Uk will love the hybrid Naksu/Jin Bu-Yeon? Save both if you love both.
