Since this is a continuation, I call it 23. There’s been confusion since the beginning of the series. You can call it episode 3 of Part 2 as well. It’s not a new season. The director made it clear he needed the extra 10 episodes to finish the story at the original Press Con. Hong Sisters had over 2 years to write this, and they tend to lengthen the episodes with their witty side trips. Originally, Netflix listed it as a 30 episode drama, then said it was 20 episodes, then divided it into part 1 and Part 2. Haha! It’s crazy.

My point was they create an expectation of woman empowerment through kick ass action.. It is possible to be strong in a different way. Everyone wants Naksu to wreak vengeance, but Part 2 has a different feel. I thought I wanted Naksu back because GYJ was awesome in episode 1,, but they gave us episode 20. The consequences of her mindless rampage were tragic and felt 3 years later. As an Assasin, I felt she never faced the true consequences of her actions because she was in and out chopping heads off. She constantly took these chances without care and Uk constantly took responsibility cleaning up her messes by, taking quite dire punishment for her actions. In part 2, she cares about the pain people suffer, and she’s considered weak.

Sorry, my thoughts are probably not clear, but I think I want to see where the writers take us.

I’m dead! That whole c scene was so boss, as he took care of the source of pain, but the “My baby”? Ohhh!

She seems to be manifesting Jin Bu-Yeon powers. I think that’s what Master Lee predicted too.

Marvel Universe did a disservice to women. People want super powers. The quiet strength is underestimated. My favorite K-actress is Gong Hyo Jin. Her strength is the inner steel, not the flashy emoting.

MD was actually Naksu coming to terms with her weak body, and overcoming obstacles, by learning to use the manpower she gathered. Her determination to get what she wanted is the same seen in Part 2. The manpower is still there, ready to do her bidding.. It’s her swagger that’s awesome, which I love in GYJ. When Jin Mu compared the two Naksu in his minds, the images were strikingly different, and they were the same actress.

For some reason, JSM could not achieve that menace. I think JSM tried hard to imitate GYJ as Naksu, to make it easier for her in Part 2, which is what professionals do.

You read my mind. Every seed sown in Part 1 is coming back to bloom in Part 2. I’ve been thinking Jin BuYeon is going to remember their connection as Seo-gyeong and Jin Seol-ran.. “We liked each other for a long time” My first thought was How Long?

Sometimes the Hong Sisters get caught up in the clever quips, but as long as they stick the OTP landing, I’m OK with a few plot holes. This won’t be the first time all things are not explained. Happy ending in 2023 to break the curse of 2022 crap KDrama endings, that’s all I ask.

Besides, poor LJW does not deserve two crappy endings in a row as lead, to drag down his dramas! The boy’s talented. Give him his due!

So I asked this elsewhere, which actress’s voice was used? Is this JSM’s guest spot? Or was it’s GYJ’s voiceover from Part 1. It sounded like JSM, but I get confused.

He’s in his own world. He’s mourning Naksu, as Park Jin told him to. Trying to let go, because Park Jin told him Sang-Ho saw Naksu petrify and go into the lake. He was waiting for her call him, hoping she was not really dead.

Isn’t that how it started with MD in Part 1? She had a use for him. He even proposed marriage. His protective instincts are strong.

It’s another callback. When she first saw the body she had, she thought Uk had bad taste for falling for her. She was a beauty, then was out in MDs body. The was the comedy. They constantly made reference to her thin legs, short stature and Uk kept saying only her eyes wer attractive until she “poisoned” him.
I love that she’s the unmatched beauty with no brains! But I think she has enough. That’s what was so attractive about the UkkieDeokkie pairing - they were so smart todgether.

Acting leader means you are de facto leader for someone who has retired, or stepped down. Dang-Gu hopes his uncle will return, so he has not fully accepted the Leader title. Park Jin does consider himself to be retired or no longer the leader. He invites his boys for meals to check in with them, and still give support and advice and give them indigestion.
