I really enjoyed the series overall. I especially loved the setting and skills of the cast. They really worked hard in developping and refining their skills and it shows. The host club concept was also fun to watch. The ending, I feel was a bit rushed. I appreciated the poly representation but feel like it was a bit weird how they ended up together. But then again, not everything can be developped in detail in 8 episodes.
So for that, I really appreciate that the plot line was adapted to be as fulfilling as possible. One thing I am sad about is the pairing of James and Great. Would have loved to see the evolution of their relationship. I really feel like they did not get as much screen time as they could have gotten. I also really liked that Meji and Freya finally ended up together. Now, only Dai is missing someone.
Overall, it is a great series. It has a bit of everything and if enterntainment and a bit of drama is what you are looking for, it can be a good watch.
I love episode 7. From Khemtid finally growing up and acting as someone worth the efforts with Wela but especially with his mum, Freya. He cleared his behaviour in my book. He became a great support for his partner, family and in his workplace. Everyone is proud of him for this change in character. As for Wela, I especially appreciated how he count on those who know him to not judge him. However, I feel, based on the preview that he wants to change their way of seeing his work so much that he can hurt himself. I really really liked that Seiji and Pan are together but Pan is definitely not over in his fantasies. He is wilding. He was innocent but when Khemtid opened his options in his mind for him. Well, I hope we truly get a throuple. I'm eager for many things in the finale but The throuple and Mrs. Freya and her girlfriend being open are top in my book. Also a happy ending for them all would be great. This series is short but everything is well paced. I am just waiting for the bang ending of that idiot grandma who thought she could mess with Deep Night.
I really was annoyed with Khemtid's attitude this whole episode. I understand he loves Wela but he has to change his attitude towards Wela when he is just working. He was already warned about the reality of dating someone who has this type of job. Wela is an adult and he's been doing this job far longer than Khem knows so, he just needs to change his ways if not he will lose Wela. His attitude towards his mom was just annoying. She clearly wanted support and hope and not what he did. So, he better prepare to ask for deep excuses. On another note, I really liked seeing the development of Seiji's Japan's abd Ken's relationship. Am still hoping for something else, toher than a love triangle. However, Seiji now knows he is being pursued by two guys and he has to make a choice, if that is the way will go. I also really liked the relationship between Freya and Meiji. Glad to see representativeness of all ages and people. Hope to see episode 5 with less annoyance from Khemtid and more of the trio's development.
I am excited for this drama. I really like MeenPing. I do get that the past series were not that great. I quite liked My Gangster Oppa and Ai Long Nhai could have been better if the translations were also better. The script for Ai Long Nhai also contributed to it not being as successful and well done as it could have been. I enjoyed their acting and even if , in some areas, improvement could help, they do bring a smile to my face with their characters and as themselves. I'm happy they are getting a new project and I hope this will be better executed and give them further opportunities.
Episode 3 was so good. Normally jealousy is presented with fits of anger, violence but here, oufff. That was so good. Spoiler: Khemtid being so jealous that the guests got 6 hosts for the price of 1. But then again, Wela is worth so much more so maybe it evens out. Also, am really liking the side couple but still wondering what it will end up as. Seiji with Pan or his best friend or a polyamorous relationship. Eithet would be fine if no one ends up being left out. But love triangle trope is a bit old so, I hope there will frsshness somewhere in this part of the plot. Especially if the trope is the end goal. Can't wait for episode 4 and see the development of their relationship. So far, I really love Wela's personality and Khemtid's approach. The guy is in love and has been for a long time, he works for Wela's attention and love. Pan just fell for Seiji. I really want to see more of them but hope, really hpppe someone else (Ken) will not be heartbroken. Seeing his reaction to Seiji giving the plate he set for him to Pan, and seeing his eyes and facial expressions when the girls were in ship mode was sad.
I'm confused by the subtitles. I started the series when it first aired but then, got literally lost in translations. I want to continue watching it and give it a real go but it is quite difficult to understand anything when the translations are bad. I have not yet started learning thai.
I'm in love with the pilot. Their reaction to the pilot was more fun given that we can see their personalities. I'm really excited for the series and hope it will be released very soon. I hope the launch of the pilot is a good sign of it being scheduled for March 2024.
I am enjoying the series so much so far. Can't wait for episode 4 and see more of these characters. Mr. Sea and Mr. Jimmy are great actors and this series definitely shows their diversity in acting skills. It is very difficult to present any disability and so far, I feel like Mr. Sea really showcases the disability aspect that Day's character has pretty well. As for Mhok's character, I enjoy his human touch. The guy seems like the typical bad boy but his character is explored and given much more meaning than just, "am a bad boy and like to beat people up"
The series is not that bad but definitely not everyone's cup of tea. What ruins it for me is just the over the topness of everything. Exaggeration can be great sometimes but when it is every second and every type of environment with every plot change, it is just too nuch. The team is great and has produced good series so I hope it changes. for now, 3 episodes seem quite redundant and I feel like the characters are just existing and nothing interesting is happening with the leads. I enjoy the side couple for now but definitely need to see more of them. It is quite sad that this is my review for now as for me, Tutor and Yim in CutiePie were a breath of fresh ait and definitely I anticipated their little minutes of interaction the most in some episodes. They are definitely good actors, it is just now the plit which seems kinda of weird. I sure do hope it evolves positively and that the goal of the writes becomes clearer given the ecaggeration for the moment.
So, after watching episode 5, the show is going in many directions. I did not expect Tew's boss to let him go this easily. Yeah, he got beaten and such, but overall that ended fairly well. As for Tew and Guy's night together, am just curious of how this ended this way. Like Tew informed Guy about his own feelings ( I mean Guy's feelings), how then did that escalate to "let's spend the night together?". Not that we complaining but like, how does this result into that after so many conflicting issues? As for Wahl, I like that Guy finally used his words and did not act like a toy being tossed between two guys. He was more or less direct about his goal in that convo. Wahl seems like he is realising something concerning his feelings towards Guy. Hope that he is not going to affect their relationship though. Not really into the love triangle trope, especially in this dynamic. Boss' role in the plot was something I expected but I feel like the side couple will be bromance at best. Tul is not really interested and there does not seem to be that kind of development between them. I really liked the game squad this episode. As always, the trio shine brightly. Dr. Strange and Muffin being goofy and Miss Bikergirl being like the mom of the group at this point. They are a great team. As for Kenji coming back, am sad for him to be fair. This will end badly for the leads for sure. As many suggested, Tew should not have spared him but am sad for Kenji cause he will end up alone and at best, be alive and alone. His ending seems more like that and at worst, he will die. So, all in all, am both excited and anxious about how the plot will evolve.
After watching the 4th episode, I am confused on what to feel. I really liked learning more about Trw and why he became a mafia, however, he feels also qquite confusing in his goals. I can feel he really likes Gun as he is willing to leave everything for Gun but he must know that its a bad idea to ask Gun to be with him and take such a risk while being aware of his boss' way of doing things? I really liked seeing him with Kenji and I hope Kenji will be in the other episodes. I've seen that Wahl is less invasive in this episode but his behaviour with Gun stills irks me, as I feel that there is a sort of love triangle here and Wahl may have feelings for Gun. So I am very confused on how the plot will evolve. I hope this evolves positively cause I really enjoy this series so far. I really enjoy Meen's and Ping's acting and want to see more of Ping's acting cause I feel like he has much more to show and should just get the chance.
Well, episode 3 was interesting... Really like the character of Tul and the side couple shocked me. Did not expect this pairing. Tul being a gullible mafia is quite funny. He was forced to hire someone, who then leads his own interview and flirts with him. He hired the guy or got hired??😅😅 The beginning was annoying with Wahl ranting on about his care for Guy. I dislike how Guy really is not presented as someone with opinions of his own. Tew and Wahl are playing tug of war with his hands, he is basically a rope with no response to either party. Wahl insulting Tew was annoying as hell when we can see that he is clearly the physical representation of his insults towards Tew. I really enjoyed seeing Tew as a lovesick puppy. He protects Guy and when he does not get any response from Guy, he is worries, annoyed and sad. The cliffhanger at the end is annoying. I really would like to know how Tew will respond given Guy's qqueries and his own attraction. The ending scene though suggests tension, in all aspects.
After watching episode 2, I really dislike Wahl. From episode 1, he gives off a bad vibe but now he is just a walking red flag. From stalking Guy to being angry at him and screaming at him when he did not answer his phone to snooping on his phone. He does not seem like just a friend but rather a possessive and annoying man. A friend can be concerned and worried but does not act like that. His excuse of Guy's parents calling etc seems like he is just using the bond they share to his advantage. He gives the vibe of someone who will try to control Guy completely as the series progress. Other than that, the gaming team meeting was just super fun. From Tom being as strange and funny as his username, to Pai and Muffin being so diverse yet cool in their own ways. As for Tew, he is smitten and caring. I just want to know more about him now. The mysterious vibe is just too much to handle. As for the guy who was angry at him, I just could not stop laughing at his hairdo. What did the poor guy do to deserve that head? The hair is well done but so unfitting of the actor.
I really enjoyed this first episode. Seems like a good show. Guy seems like a cutie who is just in need of the right circle to thrive. The ending credits with both Tew and Wahl behing Guy makes me a bit skeptical of whether there will not be a trap or attempt to create a love triangle or conflict because of Guy's feelings towards his best friend and now with Tew's character. This is just speculations though.Overall a great first episode and I enjoyed Tew's entrance and behaviour. The guy is a mysterious yet very interesting character. He does not take shit from anyone and yet remains classy. Guy is just a cutie. He reminds me of Nhai and given that Mr. Ping acted as Nhai as well, I can see a ressemblance between their characters. However, Nhai did not have low self-esteem, he is a confident king.
I enjoyed the series as a whole. The cast is amazing and an office plot with actual work, office life/environment is great. The romance also is well presented however, after reading some comments about the original storyline as per the novel, the show could, especially the 2nd half could have been so much better. It feels rushed and it went from being a breath of fresh air to a stereotypical plotline with breakup, timeskip and heartache. I appreciate the ending but given the original ending, this one could have been better. A negative note for the lack of JaabJen in the end, we literally did not get anything. Hope there is a special for them or something.
I especially loved the setting and skills of the cast. They really worked hard in developping and refining their skills and it shows.
The host club concept was also fun to watch.
