There is a slight mention of Subway, and I had planed to write more when I stumbled across another article that…
Ohh I see. I apologise, I actually didn't read through all the article. I only got curious which brands/products were mentioned in a more expressive way. But I do understand you didn't want to look like you were somehow "copying" Dramabeans' article, so it was thoughtful of you. And I totally laughed when you mentioned Rio. Seriously, imo Rio might be to cdramas what Subway has been to kdramas LMAO. Boss & Me was also the first cdrama where I came across it and saw it everywhere too!
Not gonna lie, I totally thought I was gonna see Subway here. Subway might be some kind of "PPL king" in kdramas. Older ones and even recent ones, like OBS. It's like it's making a comeback.
People need to stop blaming the second leads for the main leads not getting together. Like yes the second leads…
I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking so... I like both leads, don't get me wrong, but I'm starting to feel a bit frustrated with Yeon Soo. She knows that it was her pride that led to it all and while Ung isn't perfect, I still think that he does a waaaay better job at trying to understand the whole situations, to understand her, even back then. She just hides in her shell every time (currently in episode 8, so I apologize beforehand if I'm not up to date regarding that matter), even when she's aware she's doing so. And she's always doing whatever she pleases when it comes to him. I get that she has a lot of issues and it doesn't come out easy to explain it to others. But if he tries to reach out sooooo many times, even after she ended it all without so much as an excuse, can't she at least try to open up a bit? Like, little by little? IDK, it might just be that I see things differently or am a bit impatient... But I do agree with you that it's the same thing every episode, 100%.
If I'm gonna be influenced by smth, for me it's going to be the comments and rarely ever the rating. Almost every…
Agree. Written and explained opinions will always reflect better on a show than the overall rating. And although it's everyone's right to rate even at the very first episode, I just don't find it very reasonable since it's way too early. Stories can change for the best or worst at any point, even in the last episodes. But that's just how I see it. I just dropped that comment because even though I, like you, mind the comments more than the rating, many people have the rating more into consideration or at least mind it quite a bit. Ratings are based on people's perception on a show/movie, so I said just that: don't let others decide for you, try it out and make your own decisions based on your own opinions.
People rating shows based on mere 2/3 episodes sound just as reasonable to me as those who write reviews before the shows are even over. I just don't get it. I haven't started this one yet, as I want to have a couple more episodes out so I can get an overall impression of it and make a decision from there. All I can say is: we have all seen shows being rated higher than 8.7 right after their beginning and then ending up below 8.1. So I rather have a show start enjoyable enough and have the chance to keep its pace or become even better than the other way around. Might as well just start it and decide for yourself. Everyone has watched dramas they perceive to be overrated and others underrated anyway. It's all about tastes and opinions, have your own :)
I kind of did the same. It was at a 10 for me before the last episode. I think I'm being generous with an 8.5…
8.5 has been my rating in earlier episodes. Then I decided to give in an 8, because even though I was really liking it, I had in mind that it was still a predictable plot. Until the last episode, that is. But I get what you mean. Being it the last one, it sure leaves a strong impression and let's people down. Still, I won't rate it lower because I don't want to evaluate it based on an episode only. Had they given it an ending fitting of the curse of the entire drama, I would have probably given it a final 8.5
no way i rate it 8 while i know they planned this ending from the start and manipulated viewers to emotionally…
I understand where you're coming from. That's why I said I was giving it an 8 based on the other 15 episodes. Had episode 15 been the final one and I believe everyone would be way more pleased about the show...
I was seriously enjoying the show. It had many typical tropes, but it was honestly entertaining. Both hilarious and touching. So why throw that (super bad, if you allow me) one cliché, specially at the very last episode?! I mean, I just find it so out of place, so utterly unnecessary!! What was the point of all that... If you're gonna do a cliché but super chill, funny, light-hearted drama, is it too much to ask to not throw a super dramatic and nonsensical situation out of the blue and ruin the entire thing? We weren't even allowed to wonder for a minute "ohh I might just drop this one now they threw this crap into the plot" LMAO.
Honestly, I'm rating this one an 8 in regards of all the other 15 episodes that I believe deserve it.
I was wondering if the writer has a misunderstanding of the condition and she just has a form of amnesia.
People are rating it high but I agree is way too early... The synopsis I read in that other site was longer and more clarifying (to the point some things might be considered spoilers). But regardless of whether it is or not Alzheimer's, it sure seemed like those older korean series or the weekend ones, with quite the drama, angst, repressed love and whatnot... Not gonna add it to my "plan to watch" list. I'll just let this one pass and hope those who watch it enjoy :)

I read in another site:
"Eventually, Lian Xin suffers from Alzheimer’s disease under heavy pressure. In order to not have Xiang Yu Qiu find out, Lian Xin asks Luo Rui to take her away. (...) After the truth comes out, Xiang Yu Qiu tries everything to treat Lian Xin, who has forgotten about him. He persists and guards over her and finally awakens her memories of their love."
Still, that whole "awakening of the memories of love" thing sounds way too cringe to me and like some kind of fantasy added to the whole melodramatic plot. Even when people with Alzheimer's recall some memories/people, that can only last so long, it fades away again soon. They even forget themselves, who they are, and eventually die... So yeah, I still have no clue how they intend to make the plot work regarding that matter. Anyway, still not a synopsis that picks my interest...
"Lian Xin unexpectedly falls victim to Alzheimer’s and Yu Qiu tries everything to help her get well." - this synopsis sounds like some 100-episode korean family drama but that last sentence left me confused. What do they mean by "help her get well"? How do you get well from an incurable disease?!
You can actually watch it on YT's Mango TV channel (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0PsHrQxhYwSfQk-n76N9v4bngnqHXNCj)…
Hahah I kinda get what you mean. It's not anything extraordinary, but it's still a nice watch. I found it to be lighthearted and entertaining enough. And most of the times that's probably exactly what we need in our free time - something that won't feel heavy and where we don't need to rack our brain :)
