I skip a lot of parts too. But at the same time I ask myself if skipping some parts takes away something from the experience of the tv series. I read somewhere that in modern times we try everything to escape boredom, but boredom is actually a fundamental part of creativity, but I'm not sure how the boring parts of a drama can increase creativity 😂

Yeah I think interacting with people that are watching the same episodes at the same time and trying to make theories about what will happen in the new episode is one of the best things about watching a series. But yeah sometime waiting can be overwhelming

Wow I love your organization and self control. if I start a drama that is already finished my schedule is generally: watch all the episodes I can watch before falling asleep also if I have much more important things to do, then wake up and do that again till the drama is finished...

General topic:
Do you prefer to watch series while they are still airing or wait and watch them when the series is over?
I have two sides in me. One can' t stand the wait and anxiety and anticipation, so it would prefer to watch everything after the series finish, If I watch something when it's airing I loose much more time, refreshing the youtube channel or the streaming site. My other side knows that I will not enjoy a tv series that much after the series is over, without that waiting time I would probably skip the boring parts, going directly to the next episode, I would never rewatch a scene many times, I will eat the series as a whole cake and I will be left full and unsatisfied.

I think in this year actually there were many BL that changed the rules in different ways.
Not Me and Cutie Pie talked about politics and gay marriage ( so no more Thailand as a gay paradise).
Bad Buddy talked about bisexuality and took a position against the stereotypical top bottom binary description and the "wifey" trope.
War of Y now talks about how messy can be the BL industry so there is also a self-criticism
Also Secret Crush On You that has a totally crazy plot and crazy characters has much more realism in some things than the past BL
KP gave a more adult and complicated description of relationships, with lust as a driving force and without all the unrealistic romance, also the production (photography clothes etc had a pretty high level for this kind of product.
I hope this is a turning point for BL industry and they will get to a much more realistic depiction of gay relationship.
Of course I hope they will not stop doing super cute and happy irrealistic BL my queer heart also need to dream about a perfect world. (also straight romantic movies and tv shows are really different between each other, from the cutest romantic puppy relationship, to messy, to funny, intellectual, complicated, sad etc. why should queer people have less than that?)

I don't know, I know many gorgeous man, but after becoming friends their beauty became a secondary trait, something I remember only when somebody that doesn't know them make a comment on their appearence...

I think perfect personalities don't exist and that the veneration a fan can have for their idols can exist only because they actually don't know them they can only see the parts that the idol shows that are usually the best ones. But yess I think you can also really like them but for sure you will loose that intense feeling that you had when they were some distant gods.

I'm pretty sure that for me somebody being unreachable makes the deal, but I'm not sure if there is also a contribution of me being ace aro. I have some gorgeous friends and if before being friends I could feel and see their charm, after becoming friends I don't have that feeling anymore. At that point it becomes strange when somebody I know swoon over them.

General discussion topic:
Do you think that we see actors and actresses (and any enby equivalent) as far more beautiful and charming than they are because they are unreachable? In this context, would anybody here really swoon over KP actors if they were their friends?

Not as KP characters (since they are cousins) but I'm totally digging the aesthetic.

Usually in RL I have crushes for people like Apo, playfull and childish.
But every time I get close to people like this i will also get bored really soon.
The people that actually manage to have a part in my life are probably more like Kim ( His character didn't have enough time on screen so I can't be sure) or like Pete after Vegas...
