For now I only watched these 2 dramas that are similar in time period. I really loved the costumes and unique buildings/ houses in Detective L (which became 1 of my favorite dramas) and that was the main reason I started watching My Roommate is a Detective. And I'm super happy to find they're so similar in many things!
And the search will continue to find more dramas like these two gems.

Every episode was fun to watch. I had a great time watching this drama. There was never any boring moment.. even after two years now I'm rewatching it <3

I totally understand how you feel.... because I feel the same these days! I can't find any interesting drama to watch. I even feel they don't exist anymore after all the awesome dramas we watched before like Goblin for example.
I just will tell you about Go Go Squid since I have an idea about it.
I watched it because it was highly recommended but just like you.. I can't find it interesting. It was actually good in some episodes but they'll let you wait forever until there is a hug scene or kiss scene. you have to wait until ep.30 ! can you believe it? I only have 2 episodes left and I'm not even interested in the ending lol... It was very wrong of them to let viewers wait forever for love scenes. Now I don't care anymore. I can't even bring myself to finish this drama because I personally find it boring.

I agree with you. especially female leads like Kotoko always irritate me. don't watch Good Morning Call if you still haven't, because the female lead character there is the same if not even worse -__-

I liked this drama including the ending. People have different opinions on it so you have to watch it yourself to judge it. Don't rely on the comments as everyone has their own taste and opinion.

I loved her in I Will Never Let You Go! so smart, cheerful and cute character. I like her acting.

On The Way to The Airport is 1 of the most romantic and beautiful dramas I've seen..
it's also 1 of my favorites <3 Love the OSTs too.

He was so good in Rinsho Hanzai Gakusha Himura Hideo No Suiri ! see? although the title is long and hard to read but I memorized it because I love this drama so much <3
I also liked him in LIMIT, the wonderful drama. although he was only a supporting actor there but he left a big impact on me.
I watched Hero Mania for him too and loved it as well.
but my most favorite drama of him is without a doubt.... Death Note.

does it include Taiwanese dramas or just Chinese? the language is pretty much the same

not only the poems but everything about the drama was great. it was super funny too XD
