Deok Hui telling Se Ok how grateful he actually is and how it was their last surgery together somehow made me so freaking emotional. I hate when dramas make me sympathize with criminals. ðŸ˜
The way he survived that diabolical car accident is insane to me. I know it's a K-Drama but to THAT extent? Unscathed? Seriously? 😂
Also, Ye Na, hold up! "NE SARANG YU JEONG"? EXCUSE ME?! I screamed. I knew there was something going on, but a CONFIRMATION as well? THANK YOU! That made a better GL than the whole entire 16 episodes of Friendly Rivalry.
The lightest and most relaxing Thai drama/adaptation I've ever watched. Absolutely zero toxicity detected. A drama full of green flags, especially my man Kongdech. I'll miss him so much. In my opinion, he's the funniest character in the drama. He brought so much laughter and lightness to the drama. I loved his scenes so much, watching him walk away with a broken heart broke my own heart. I don't usually like love triangles but that trio stole my heart. HengMo were perfect and their chemistry with Kongdech was outstanding. I'll miss their dynamics so much.
I'm on epi3 now and kinda don't understand the plot. Why is ML so persistent in saving this nearly bankrupt company…
I don't understand much either but people are welcome to correct us.
What I do understand is:
Yun Ju No used to work for Sanin in the M&A team under Mr. Ha (who's now the CFO that has minions following him everywhere he goes). But then Yun Ju No got caught up in some sort of a scamming scandal that involved his brother (who's now dead) and had to leave South Korea and go to the US.
Some time later (a couple of years I guess), Sanin is on the verge of collapse (bankruptcy, maybe?) And they know Yun Ju No is good GOOD at his job, so against all odds, Mr. Lee (the one with the glasses that so desperately wants to retire) calls him back to Korea to help save the company.
Of course, everyone doubts him because of his past scandal and try to ruin his plans for their own gains.
Yun Ju No himself (I think) is a good man and had nothing to do with what happened to his late brother, so when called for work, he accepted the invitation and he's trying his hardest to live up to Mr. Lee and the chairman's trust and high expectations of him in order to prove that he's not a bad guy as people think.
I really love how the writers put so much depth and meaningfulness into the side stories. Each side character is so detailed and well-written. My eyes literally teared up a little watching the Japanese craftsman react to the photo of his dad. All the chosen cast members are great actors as well, even if it's a tiny role, they did it so perfectly. (The Japanese girl is so adorable with her cute socks.)
I'll admit, I was hella confused the first two episodes because I don't understand much about business and economics, and I had to pause every five minutes to search up certain business terminologies, but as the story progressed and they got into the side stories, it became a little more relatable and enjoyable. (So, if you're thinking about dropping, don't.)
I'm really curious about Yun Ju No's background story because we're already half way through and they've only showed little hints about his deceased brother and his whole ordeal.
Bro survives each and every type of assassination. He's invincible. There ain't no way he'd die. LOL
He doesn't even get weakened for the love of God. Doesn't break an arm or loses a finger. Best they could do is memory loss but now he's even sharper than before. 😂
I've just finished watching the first episode, and this is the first time I've seen a drama of Park Eun Bin. She's an amazing actress indeed. I also think she looks exactly like the Thai actor Khaotung from The Heart Killers. They could literally pass as twins. LOL
Faifa openly talking about his abandonment issues and how it shaped his people-pleasing personality was such a good scene. I really like Faifa as a character and how much depth the writers have put into it. He's not as shallow as one might think at a first glance, he's been emotionally hurt so much as a kid but still kept a pure kind heart. Junior is such a good actor, he perfectly portrayed the character. Great job!
