OMG @Jamesny29 you are like me when am looking for a drama,I will go to the end of the earth to find it..Now am…
Awwww š Am just a drama enthusiast with too much time on her hands.. Midnight Romance in Hagwon was good for me..I never mind slow burns and dark aesthetic and the chemistry was off the chart.. especially that it was seen as "forbidden" by the FL.but the ML was deaf and blind to all that..and you know the more forbidden the more it pulls you in. I have not dug deep into costume dramas except Love like the galaxy and New Life begins..am sure the one you picked is good enough.. YouTube has probably 90% of Cdramas so it's one of the best sources.I do watch without ads and without the premium tag..You know I have my ways š
Iāve finally managed to put into words whatās been bothering me about Wanna Be. After watching My Fated Boy, I think the comparison is fair, given both dramas share the same writer. However, while the two series differ in theme, Wanna Be,centered around the fashion/modeling industry, fell short, particularly because that world is driven by numbers, image, and ambition, and I feel the writing failed to capture that convincingly.
Perhaps my professional background makes me more sensitive to things like set design, production quality, visuals, and architecture. And as a romance lover, Iām often sold if the couple has great chemistry;which is why I deeply value reviewers like you who explore beyond the surface
Despite its charm, Wanna Be felt like it was missing something essential. I even lowered my original rating after reflecting more on the gaps. It was a rare attempt at breaking away from the usual tropes.
The writer had plenty of material to develop, especially with the storyline around the abandoned models who ended up wasting away in a club. That subplot had potential, and at the very least, a couple of extra episodes couldāve explored the male leadās choices after his return.
The female lead's journey as a designer was barely touched, just one sketching scene and suddenly, a full-blown fashion show? It lacked depth.
And Iāll say this every time: the auntieās implausible romance with the second male lead consumed too much screen time. That time couldāve been far better spent developing other subplots or characters.
From a detail-oriented viewer's perspective, I do think the director, casting, and production teams did a wonderful job. And once again, the male lead didnāt disappoint,he truly delivered.
FL: Badass/strong/fierce ML:"Blind" and an IQ of 300+ Visuals:1000/10 Chemistry: 10,000/10. Production qty: 1000/10. Length: 16 Ep BGM: Well selected Plot: Revenge/Romance
Fan Zhi Xin.He delivered yet another magnetic performance, reminding us why he's a fan favorite. His on-screen presence? Unmatched. The chemistry with the FL which thank goodness she reciprocated once she grew a pair. This man is Electric. My Lethal Man may not make it to the top of anyoneās āBest Scriptā list, but it earns a spot in your watch historyāfor all the right and wrong reasons.

Encounter is a K-drama. the rest are cdramas and two are Taiwanese.. I didn't remember these are noona dramas: Something in the rain The midnight romance in Hagwon Secret love affair
come to think of it I haven't seen many noona k- dramas, those I know are not on VIKI but if you click on older FL/younger ML tag on MDL,it will give you like a hundred options..these I watched so I can recommend. But Cdramaland has some of the best of noona. the ones I suggested are really good
