In case anyone asked,Every year I watch Love Designer,2020 my first Cdrama, just to watch Johnny Huang's talent, sense of humour, unmatched come backs, his savagery and his nuclear reaction chemistry with Dilraba Dilmurat.I don't think anyone comes to him in the whole cdramaland..His flow and realness are just legendary
LOL.. Thank you for scrolling and searching for my review. I didn't watch this while airing, so my reviews are…
Hahaha..I know my people and I will probably not watch a show before I read their reviews.. Naaah in 2025 we are too old,too experienced and too busy to sit through 12 episodes of highschoolers doing highschool things..unless it's stuff like Weak hero class 1/2 (no I didn't and won't watch but the point is) Am sure WIFTY is light but am glad my decision not to watch it is justified by your 8.5 ๐
The way I scrolled looking for my people who review dramas not based on popularity ๐๐ I panicked when I didn't see you guys..then I soldiered on and here you are.. I was was wondering when will I see something that is not 10.0 or 9.0 rating..
And coincidentally all of my most reliable reviewers @virgievirgie @shiro and You rated it 8.5 It keeps popping on my recommended page,I guess there is nothing to see here..never been a fan of coming of age plot unless its heavy like "Light and Princess"

Thank you for your kind words, @Nelly! I wish I can comment on Song Luo but it has been a long time since I watched…
Don't worry about it..That was a fan asking too much as we often do LOL..Am just happy my favourite show's review went through the axe of the chopping master @Zogitt and survived with an 8.5 rate
"Found it!" That was my actual scream when I randomly scrolled through the review section and the MDL algorithm brought me to your review. So well said, I can't believe this was written five years ago, and yet it still resonates so deeply as I rewatch the show today.
Zhou Fang and Song Lin have such a natural connection and chemistry, it makes you wonder if theyโre acting or just living out their real lives. (Yes, they did date in real life, shhhh, it caused quite a stir in the rumor mill!) Honestly, I wouldnโt be surprised. Iโve watched eight of Johnny Huangโs dramas, five of them with romance, and none come close to the chemistry he had here. Bright Eyes in the Dark came close, but the plot was so heavy there wasnโt enough space for those light, genuine interactions with Zhang Jingyi.
I completely agree with you, the moms were one of the main reasons I kept hitting "skip," even on a rewatch.
The second couple took up so much screen time, while our leads were buried in business meetings. I really appreciated the way you analyzed the second male lead, I'd never thought of it like that before. He was such a stark contrast to the ML that even their scenes together felt off. It honestly felt like Song Lin was his much older uncle! Their personalities and energy just didnโt align, which probably explains why the writer kept it strictly boss-employee rather than attempting a bromance.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Song Luoluo, the MLโs younger sister. She really was the heart of the drama in so many ways.
My very first Cdrama back in 2020..It holds a VERY VERY SPECIAL PLACE in my drama heart.. Hope more people will continue to watch it..I keep going back to it every year..
