This drama is pretty average. If it's not because I like the ML so much, I would rate this a 7.5.
I watched the first two episodes, then combed through in the middle and last part, there were like two parallel worlds, she was over hypedvand he was like in another script..
I have tried it twice,Am a fan of Lee Jong Won but maybe I shouldn't have tried it after watching him be cool BFF in XX,maybe but the FL character just didn't glue me on the screen
I have been looking for a Lee Jong Won modern dramasand after enjoying his second lead in XX(should check it out if you haven't) I have had this on my PWL but I tried twice and I couldn't get past the FL's bad written character (excessive reactions) and these two ajhumas..
I used to have this pending on Viki ,somewhere on "the thing I clicked and got distracted" list. Am here because am sleep watching the lead Bae In Hyuk being a quiet but smooth bartender in XX,a unique story and he is interesting enough for me to soft stalk him for his other works. I guess I will continue to look at him behind the counter at XX bar..
I wrote a very detailed review on the page..Check it out..10/10
Thank you for your feedback! Honestly, I didnāt even realize anyone was passing by that part of the review.
As for Xu Si Yu, the FLās best friend, I intentionally left her out. To me, she had no real positive or negative impactāshe was just there. I did briefly mention her as someone to keep an eye on, but really, we've seen her type in countless dramas: the āfriendā who only stays that way until a man gets involved. Thereās nothing new about her. She brings chaos disguised as friendship, and frankly, sheās the kind of person you hope never shows up in your real life.
Thatās why I didnāt want to waste time discussing her in detailāit wouldāve been a major spoiler anyway. While Chen Zhe might be somewhat forgivable, Xu Si Yu is firmly in the Blocked category š.
This drama drained meāin the best way. I had so much to say, but in the end, I chose to focus on the characters who truly stirred my emotions.
If out of 56 episodes, you watched 4 and gave up,then I have nothing to say.. I watched this a year after it aired so not in it's "hyped moments" I agree the first episodes is the foundation and were saved by Zhao Lusi's comic lines, there was so much going on but you might have missed a whole drama. So I don't know what I can share with you.. It's a long drama so it can be sectioned by events. I think the two leads did an amazing job, there were good side characters and bad ones..some came and disappeared..Zhao Lusi,Leo Wei,Li YunRui in one project can't be a total waste for sure..These are people who don't sign up for just any script. I love Li YunRui,this was actually my first drama of his..it made me wait for Blossom and it was beautiful. If you watched LLTG because of him, then I understand why you didn't enjoy it cos he was not the ML..he wasn't even the 2ML..he was the 3ML..so what you had is second lead syndrome. Maybe am old and I have been on this dramaland for too long(2018) but I know that not all of us will like the same thing..So I get your point.
Beautiful articulated. You described the ML to the dot. I have only rewatched three dramas in my dramaland existence namely "Love Designer" "Fake it till you make it" and "That Winter the Wind Blow" I might add LLGT to the list(just the parts where General Ling Buyi is doing his thing)
I think the difference is that the ML in BP was also mid hyped but Lee J.W was really introverted with a hometown boy deminure.
Thats all I needed ...Unto the next fix
