I thought I was so over the high school / university “I only like him” trope - watched this first time and was like woah this is so cute! Despite the overused plot, it’s the actors who have that je ne sais quoi, that spark that gets to you.
Watching it for the second time and can’t believe I have more butterflies this time than last!
Must watch and hoping they have a second season!

What in the sociopathic incestuous dysfunctional crime show did I just watch?!!! T_T
I’ve been quite a fan of the HiStory franchise so really baffled by who thought this hot mess was a good plot for a show!
Everything from the cringey stalker turned brother turned rap*st turned lover thing was so ick then on top of that everyone including the victim and family pretending somehow it was okay because he “loves” him. Just NO.

Oh and the Pipi rescue team!!! So freaking adorable!! :D

I watched both seasons back to back and don’t recommend doing that. The change in ML was too jarring and I just couldn’t connect the same way!
So if you are watching the series, I would say give a break between S1 and S2 and watch something else so you do justice to the storyline.
It really is too bad that the original ML couldn’t do S2 :(

This drama definitely has a refreshing approach to The BL genre. I truly enjoyed it. Watching for the second time now because I missed a few details as I was so obsessed over the chemistry between the MLs. Love how this show showcases the nuances of so many issues faced by not just same sex couples but couples in general.
The wedding scene between the Amy and Sa Sa was so touching and heartfelt made me sappy as hell.
Can we come back to their chemistry tho - my goodness - I can watch ep 2 over and over - the way Damian falls for Jerry is just adorable. I can totally forget that he is acting at times. Just off the chart! I know everyone is all over the glamorous lives of KP and CP but this to me is so realistic.
The end of the season was a mess though because no one is that kind of a cliffhanger for S2!

I’m on ep 6 and really struggling with this one and wondering why it’s been so highly rated?!
There’s no dignity in abusive one sided love. I can appreciate the struggle to stop loving someone but he has no redeeming quality so far that deserves such devoted, self demeaning love. The way he treats women like disposable objects is a huge turn off and I can’t relate to this version of hurtful love.
Thinking to drop it - is there any redeeming quality to keep at it?

Oh. Em.Gee!!! Can’t believe I’m finally catching up to this series!
Did I just watch the cutest pair in BL history?!!
I thought that no one can be up there on chemistry compared to TharnType, Cutie Pie and Kinnporche but these two seriously made me blush!!
That said, they bravely addressed our fantasized, rosy and somewhat naive view of the BL genre and highlighted how intense the pressure is on the authors and writers to sacrifice depth for cheap thrills. at the end of the day, it’s about selling a product just like any other.
I feel like they also showcased all the product ads sort of over the top as well to keep reminding us that we are rabid consumers.
I always remind myself not to go down the rabbit hole of trying to ship actors or become internet stalkers. It’s just best to enjoy the shows for the intended entertainment and leave it at that.

Not even ashamed of ugly crying at how beautiful, poignant and human this movie was!
Julia Robert’s had this line in Notting Hill that some people DO spend their lifetime together. This movie reminded me of that line.

This series is perfect proof that steamy scenes alone does not make popular or good BLs or any other show tbh. I mean they tried and the premise of the storyline was a mix of cliche and original. But just awkward couples all around.
Only the ML duo was somewhat likeable. Awkward still but kinda sorta likeable

Okay final thoughts after finishing the entire show: they managed to deal with some pretty deep issues while managing to keep the light, comedic aspect of the show. Things like gender identity, body image issues, social awkwardness or challenges of being an introvert isn’t always easy to deal with in this manner so I liked the direction they went in.
Yes, some aspects were still really cringey (a grown man throwing a tantrum at fetal position at the mall of all places for example!) but overall I liked the show and recommend a watch.
The chemistry between the leads is truly amazing.

**PSA**: omg if you’re not watching this show on YT no point watching - I actually restarted and holy cow! The uncut version! O_o
Also those objecting to storyline - you are still aware that this is a fiction turned drama right?!

On Ep 8 now - yes the show as whole is cringe and yes I skipped some scenes … but WHY he so cute?! And WHY the other he so smouldering?!
Dang the chemistry is enough to make a grown woman blush!

Not to be overly dramatic … actually why not … this drama absolutely wrecked me!! I don’t know if I can ever see Gong Woo as anything but Kim Shin. I KNOW that’s completely unfair and borderline disrespectful to such a great actor but I can’t … he’s on my vision board! *cries*
If anyone is debating about watching this, I highly recommend it. Especially if you’re new to kdrama world. The first episode may make you wonder but keep at it.
This wasn’t the very first kdrama I watched but this definitely started my love affair with it.
Be prepared to both laugh and cry like a crazy person as well as say goodbye to sleep probably for 48 hours. I’m allowing time for work/school/eating/shower etc.

Someone made a comment about the Bride of Habaek - I’ve watched BoH - Goblin is in a different league.

Also can we talk about how insanely good the OST is?! I had to download as many of them as I could find on iTunes.

I’m also glad that they didn’t show exactly at the end of episode 9. However, episode 10 was really hard to watch.
The reason I recommended stopping at 40:30 is because you can still leave seeing both ML snd SL lead happy life.

This is the best palate cleanser BL there is. It’s light and fluffy and magic. I’m a dramatic introvert myself (yes, it’s a real thing) and I just relate so hard to Adachi and Tsuge - they are hilarious and lovable and oh so adorable in this show. Also, how loving and pure is Kurosawa who literally has not one bad thought?! I could stare at his crinkly eye smile all day *dramatic sigh*
Highly recommend. You can definitely binge this one in one night so watch it anytime you feel heavy or sad from another series.
I don’t know why but Touch Your Heart (Kdrama and non-BL) gives me the same good feels but it’s about a non-stop day and half binge so takes more commitment.
